Amazing restaurant, amazing chef and super duper delicious unagi meal!! This is my favourite meal in Japan so far!! Highly recommend this place to everyone who want to have the most delicious unagi in Osaka!! The unagi is so flavourful and is grilled to perfect!! The skin is really crispy!! It's grilled to order from fresh as well (so expect to wait a little bit)!! Very attentive service and super nice vibe too, with soft music playing in the background, the restaurant is very cozy and relaxing!! The umeshu from Suntory Yamazaki is very smooth and tasty too!! Already want to go back for another meal!! Highly recommend!! Price is not cheap as this is the highest grade of eel as well as it's made to order. But it's not the most expensive ones as well. We wanted to try Eel and were bombarded with so many choices. This restaurant was near our hotel and we could book on google which was very convenient for travellers without a Japanese number. The shop attendant was very nice and we even corrected our reservation information over the phone with the help of our hotel staff. The food was very good! I highly recommend anyone who wants to try eel to come and try this restaurant! The eel is live and it’s freshly served everyday. The chef who grills the eel does an excellent job! the eel is just nice, a little crispy, not oily, and very delicious. Worst experience in japan to date. If I could give 0 star I would. Server seemed unwilling to serve us as we were foreigners but was extremely enthusiastic when serving the locals. Wasn’t even given water despite asking for it and this was not due to miscommunication since the server confirmed again with us while taking our order. Restaurant wasn’t busy (only 2 other tables besides ours) so there wasn’t an excuse for forgetting. Also, wasn’t given towels to wipe our hands and had to ask for it. Other customers were all given towels automatically. Overall, horrible experience and food wasn’t even great for the price point. Might be a great place for locals but would recommend for tourists to skip this overrated place and just pick somewhere else with better food and service.
