TOURIST SCAM Went here 8/30 around 830 pm. Went there main store and the girl who worked there said it was full and said would take us to sister location....well holy moly...this was the biggest rip off ever in Japan. If the owner is Japanese..you should be ashamed as this is not to japanese standard..here's the reason:
Very bad ambiance: look at the picture below...literally was black walls with bare minimum furniture
Price: 40% more expensive than Isomaru Suisan (famous seafood izakaya franchise). To give you an example, edaname beans was 650 yen whereas isomaro is 450 yen and they give you more.
Food: got assorted tempura, yellowtail sashimi, fries, fried octopus, and some other stuff. Honestly quality of ingredients was poor and tempura was the worst I had in Japan
Service: server didn't even look at you and just left stuff without even properly placing it. This service was not only us but all tables. You can tell ppl were upset. Where it got crazy when we asked for napkins (doesn't the first time) and they said they had no more.
Full disclosure, I dont write bad reviews unless its really bad. Basically, this place is the worst place ever and you can tell its a ripoff. Avoid this plac4...
Read moreWe did not have a reservation for this specific location but the person downstairs took us to one of their sister location a block down on 3rd floor. It was sketchy as it allowed smoking , ac was not working well and not a fine dining establishment. The food was below average and over priced which was okay but the place is a tourist trap as they charged 400+ yen / person for a little appetizer, 200 yen for glass of water (never seen a restaurant anywhere charge that much for tap water) and they added 11 percent service charge on top of the bad service. Would not recommend the place, the reviews on here might be high as they offer a free drink for a good review. We should have left when we seen two other tables that came around the same time as us leave shortly after we got there...
Read moreWe originally went to their first location, but alas very popular and no reservations available. However, we were kindly escorted to this new second location. Full disclosure I am an American tourist; this is my first time in Osaka; I do not speak Japanese.
Cons: very difficult to find, like not even on Google maps; we had to be escorted here and then take an elevator up to the fourth floor. It’s possible we were escorted here because the first location did not accept foreigners (there are plenty of places here like that).
Pros: we enjoyed the food and had a variety of dishes. Ordered the luxury nigiri sampler, spicy Korean fried chicken, and octopus dishes. The staff were very friendly to us. We were hungry and it...
