WORST PLACE WE'VE EATEN IN JAPAN! PLEASE I BEG YOU NOT TO COME...
Had a waitress come and try to explain to us the menu in english. she struggled so hard so we suggested to use google translate. To which, she refused, saying she was trying to practise english. Ok sure, we gave her the benefit of doubt and was patient and kind with her. But that was the start of our nightmare.
We asked her about all you can drink soda, and she said YES OK! we even pointed at it on the menu to confirm. So we ordered 2 calpis SODAS. what arrived was white water, literally. We were about to order another drink when we realised there was a price on the menu (which means its not all-you-can-drink, it was charged ala-carte). I went to ask the staff if they got it wrong, and she nonchalantly said there is no such thing as all-you-can-drink.
Long story short, since i was going to pay 400¥ for this calpis SODA, i asked the staff to change my drink. she rolled her eyes at me, walked off, came back asking why i want to change my drink (?!). She was so rude it was appalling. I ended up making her change my drink.
Food is TERRIBLE. Yakitori? More like YUCKYtori. No char, comes cold, chicken skin is rubbery and raw, nothing is made in house. The convenient stores could do better. They only allow you to order 2 sticks at each time, but each 2 sticks take more than 10 minutes to be served. Really messed up system.
Sushi was poorly made, alot of rice and very little topping. Fish quality was not fresh, tasted horrible. Pray for me i might regret tomorrow.
Online menu in english is actually half english and half japanese. We had to Google translate the menu while we were ordering.
Overall, please dont call yourself an izakaya restaurant. You are a disgrace to all the real izakayas out there. 4500¥ per person for the worse meal i've had in Japan. We left after less than an hour being here and heard another table before us saying they would never come...
Read moreDo not go here if you’re a tourist. It’s not worth your time or money. Perhaps you will have different treatment if you’re a local.
We had made a reservation for “All you can eat & drink”. When we arrived we were told they would serve us an appetizer of a few dishes and that we should wait with placing our orders for the “all you can eat” (digitally by QR-code) until we had eaten some of the appetizers. We were also asked what we wanted to drink. Turns out there is no such think as all you can drink - false advertising- so we had to pay extra for the sodas we ordered. The female waitresses were extremely unprofessional. They were constantly running around taking photos and filming each other while laughing really loudly. Our reservation was for 120 min and we had 90 minutes to order. People arriving after us quickly received all their appetizers and drinks, but we still hadn’t received any food. After we had calmly waited for 30 min we still hadn’t received our appetizers, and had waited with ordering from the “all you can eat” as we were told. We placed our order anyways and asked one of the male staff about when (and if) we would receive the appetizers. He didn’t speak English at all which made it difficult to communicate but he went to check and after some time we received them along with our ordered food. They had “forgotten” and one of the female waitresses that was running around came by and said a quick sorry. None of the dishes were complicated but every order from the “all you can eat” still took 25-30 min to receive and the food was very blend and mediocre. 30 min before the last order (60 min in), we placed our last order but after 27 min of waiting we still hadn’t received it and decided to leave. If I could give this place zero...
Read moreWe first heard about this place via Instagram influencers. Was quite excited to try out an AYCE place offering so much variety. We made a reservation online SIX WEEKS in advance and was asked to choose what type of AYCE we wanted. ( We chose Shabu Shabu, Sushi, Yakitori for 6000yen). When we got there, we were told that they were out of meat so Shabu Shabu wasn't an option. Huge disappointment as we requested so far in advance to have that as a dining option.
Settled for the yakitori AYCE with Sushi A La Carte and the food was disappointing. Skewers were overly salted, to the point where we considered getting a cup of hot water to wash away the salt. Uni appeared to be left out for too long as the meat was a dull shade of orange. Although it was AYCE we were only allowed to get 1 dessert dish per person. Unfortunately the matcha ice cream was bland as well. Needless to say our favorite thing on the menu was the salad.
At least the restaurant appeared clean and we were able to have our own private booth. Food also arrived at a reasonable time. However, the english menu had a lot of discrepancies as some of the items didn't appear properly and google translate still needed to be used.
Although it stated that it was a non smoking establishment, there were customers at other tables who were smoking. As much as we wanted to like this place, we will not be...
