Kani Douraku Umeda is a fantastic crab-focused restaurant located on the 8th floor with a cute, traditional interior and Japanese-style floor seating. The atmosphere is charming and authentic, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

We ordered everything à la carte since we didn’t feel like having hotpot, and we were so glad we did—the sashimi, sushi, grilled, and tempura crab dishes were all absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

We had a family of five and they seated us in a private room so that was very nice

We went for dinner and ordered two sets and then more side dishes based on what we liked in the set. The snow crab tempura was very good - the tempura coating was light and the crab meat was fresh and fluffy. We also really like the king crab in vinegar.

Overall, great for big family. Decent food for the price (not the cheapest, but the service and the space make up for the rest)

My wife decided to try crab for lunch, and we made a reservation three days in advance. Upon arrival, the manager checked our booking and smoothly ushered us to our table.

The servers spoke English well and were able to respond to our queries about the menu, which made the experience much more comfortable. The food was served in sequence at just the right speed, ensuring a relaxed dining experience.
