Umeda Yoshinozushi is a real hidden gem. It’s a tiny spot, tucked in an alley just a short walk from Umeda station, and it only seats about 8 people max. But let me tell you, it’s worth every bit of effort to check it out. The futomaki here is the richest and thickest I’ve ever had—absolutely incredible- but available for only take away menu. The host speaks English and is super friendly and efficient, making sure we double-checked our order and that everything was priced correctly. Food is just average and it would’ve been 2-3 star for the (correct) price. Nothing special. But as mentioned in many other reviews, they overcharge everything (80% extra for foreigners). Really horrible restaurant with dishonest chef and owner dating back to 5 years ago. As a tourist, you go to restaurants in Osaka ready to spend money. I came to eat at this restaurant for my first meal in Osaka. It's a small place but with comfortable seating. The sushi was delicious, everything about it.
