A very awkward and disappointing experience. The sushi was average at best and the atmosphere was extremely unfriendly. The chef looked super angry the entire time and never once asked if we enjoyed the food, even though we ordered the most expensive sushi platter on the menu (one each) and sitting at the bar right in front of him. The waiter carelessly tossed items and did not bother filling our glasses either water or sake.

We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived until we left. No one even said goodbye as we exited. If running a restaurant brings you so little joy, maybe it is time to reconsider. Or perhaps the issue is simply you dont like foreigners?

A really strange vibe. I sincerely hope others do not have to go through what we did.

If the service had not been so uncomfortably awkward, the quality/price ratio would still be quite bad, I would have rated it 3 stars maximum. 50,000 yen platters, average taste, with too much wasabi...

Visited this place on 10th May 2023, around 6pm. Per the reviews, they did have an english menu available but the owner was rude and condescending, not at all friendly as the other reviews had mentioned. Perhaps because we are foreigners? The chef openly mocked us in his conversation with the Japanese couple sitting beside us for using english phrases “miso soup” and “oolong tea” in our order. It was an extremely unpleasant dining experience.

Food-wise the sushi and soup was all great, just felt a little peeved about supporting this rude chef’s business. Fish and seafood all tasted fresh except for the abalone, was fishy and had a bad taste, ate half of it and spat the rest out. Ended up vomiting that night so it was probably the culprit.

Visit this establishment at your own risk — maybe don’t get the...

It seemed like the cook and the waitress didn’t like to serve foreigners. We had to wait a really long time before we could order food and drinks and Japanese guests who arrived after us were served before us and the waitress brought them their drinks before she even took our order. The sushi was not really worth it either. There was so much wasabi on the sushi that it was very difficult to taste the fish. The sea urchin tasted very fishy and the crab seemed very dry and not fresh. Overall we felt...
