Den – Japanese Buffet Dining which is located at Asilsapporo -Review- Something totally unexpected (bad experience) happened here while I was with my tour guests. As a tour leader, for almost 3 decades, I have always felt Japan is a pleasant country to visit and was always glad to be assigned the task to lead the Malaysian pax to Japan. Never once had I encountered any bad experience. This time, however, my handbag was removed (unknowingly) from my chair ( in the Tour Guide room) , and was later found in the ladies toilet. Unfortunately, when the bag was returned to me, I discovered that all the JPY cash was missing ( equivalent of approx RM13000) from the handbag. These cash was meant for the pax provided by the tour company, and some was my personal cash.
The restaurant staffs could NOT offer much help, and there is no security cameras installed in this restauarant. Japanese employees are generally known to be honest people but at this place, I begin to doubt. First time, this happened to me.
Tour operators often bring their tour passengers to this place for dining due to its pleasant ambience and good food. However, it would be a bad recommendation if incidents such as stolen money, or any valuables of the guest might get missing occurred. Imagine if this kind of stuff happened to any one of my pax/guest, he or she might create a huge commotion, causing disturbances to all other customers in the restaurant , and this will also a time consuming process for the me (tour leader) to handle .
This kind of restaurant services should not be included in all future tours for the Malaysians. Poor security, dishonest employees, lackaidaisical attitude of the staffs is a big...
Read moreI had dinner at Den Japanese Buffet in Sapporo on a Sunday night, opting for the BBQ grill instead of the shabu shabu hot pot. At $53 per person for 70 minutes, it’s a bit pricey but includes a variety of meats and seafood. Reservations are recommended but not required, which is helpful if you want to secure a spot.
Food: The quality was good, and the seafood was tasty. However, the seafood items were already cooked and served cold, which was unexpected. The crabs were delicious, and I mainly focused on eating those, so I didn’t get to try everything else.
Service: The staff was attentive and even gave us a 10-minute warning before our time ran out, which was a nice touch.
Overall: A solid buffet with good food and service, though the time limit felt a bit short. If you love crab, it’s worth a visit! I’d like to go back to try more of the...
