Terrible beer experience. Ordered a draft IPA. We were sitting at the bar and watched a bartender try to pour our beers and the tap was all foam. She tried scraping out the foam for a minute then pour what was left into a glass for us. We watched this for several minutes and she got about a quarter of a beer from several attempts. It was disgusting to watch. Language barrier problem for us but we tried to ask if that's how they always pour a beer but they didn't understand my question so we told them we would not drink that beer and ordered a different one.
The other beer poured normal but they use a .33 glass and a third of that was head. This was $10 a beer.
They then gave us some stale pretzels which is actually quite funny but sad at the same time. Maybe stale pretzels is a thing in Japan.... I don't know
Finally the last insult was when I went to pay the bill was 1000 yen too much and the woman showed me a food menu about a 500 yen cover charge per person. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes and they are going to charge for that?
Terrible. Go...
Read moreMy husband and I came here after a long day of walking around for a quick drink before heading back to our hotel. This turned into a two hour adventure because of the exceptional service.
Koba-san, our bartender, was extremely sweet and helpful to the point where he showed us all the different types of Japanese craft beer that he had in the fridge, not on the menu. He went through the different flavor notes of each beer on his iPad so we could understand what they would taste, along with being very honest with pricing.
When we told him we were here on our honeymoon, he was kind enough to pour us a celebratory glass of sake. He made every effort to talk with us even through my broken Japanese.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming into town. As for my favorite beer that we had, I would recommend the matcha IPA if you enjoy hops.
Thank you to Koba-san and the staff again for making our...
Read moreThis restaurant will ask you to order by using QR code. If you are a foreigner, maybe you don't have Japan local phone. In case, the employee will help you to order manually. Personally speaking, I don't prefer the QR code order system at restaurants.
After finishing shopping, I went to the food court with my son for lunch. We ordered several western food. If you ask me "What's good here?", I would say "I invoke the fifth."
My son said that it was really good and he would like to visit one more time. Actually, it was not my thing but family comes first. The atmosphere of this restaurant was so so. There's no according for...
