at my first glance, i thought this is one of those local japanese ramen bar. they got me wrong, with its hand calligraphed sign, all all japanese writing, with minimum english signages. even in Google search engine, they insist japanese writing too. (very smart huh? so less people can write a review?)

how wrong i was. all the staff and chef, are more likely from south east asia, surely not japanese, in the appearance and in the cooking.

and it does not stop there. i thought, some non japanese chef also make great japanese dishes too. cannot judge the book by its cover right?

wrong again. the shoyu ramen was super super super (yes, 3 times for emphasis) salty, the fried rice was salty, the miso soup was salty. yuck 😓 it made even the water taste salty. the pork meat is not that typical juicy, melt in your mouth slices. it is more of the cheap low quality bulk buy frozen meat pack that you buy from the grocer supermarket. tough, smelly, not a nice texture.

the only edible thing was the gyoza. thank God! so that i can finish my noodle.

i skipped the almond pudding dessert, too sweet, long time in the fridge taste and very mushy.

Naohisa Nejo,

Came here on a Friday and happened to walk by as they opened at 11. The staff was already very friendly. I ordered the limited time mazesoba because it was a hot day. The place has a self serve kiosk with English language available so it was really helpful. I accidentally ordered a medium which was a lot of noodles. I had the combo with fried rice and gyoza. The fried rice was comforting and the gyoza tasted nice. The noodles were flavored just right without being too heavy. The water was ice cold and self serve which is great.

This place has a lot of seating and as I ate more locals came by and ordered and sat down. I think this place would be good for bigger groups of 3-4 since there’s so much seating available. From reading the reviews I would probably stick with the miso ramen instead of the other flavors. Not bad for on the go, lunch or if you have lots of people...

· mediocre ramen restaurant thats only "popular" cause its conveniently placed in station

· salty miso broth with overcooked ramen noodles...

· fried rice was about 90% rice and 10% ingredients = 100% disappointment

· nothing else to say besides the food was a disaster compared to their deliciously looking menu pictures (good advertisement, well played)

tldr: skip this and go other ramen...
