-This post was made for the 1080 yen* Korean fried chicken buffet they advertise. (they also have more than one location, this review pertains to the one on the main street, entrance by the PCR/ chinese grocery next door). This review does not talk about their other dishes.
Source: ate there 3 times, different day and time of day for info. gathering to make this post.
The bad: chicken is not fresh, (if you go as soon as they open, it's last night's chicken) the chicken is breaded much. Way too much flour. Like Seriously too much. Not exaggerating. 40% or so. you have to buy a drink, cheapest is soda/juice at around 400 yen with tax included. buffet heat lamp is just a single non food grade lamp- and covers only one or two plates of food, leaving the rest of the buffet food to be cold. one staff member was very stand-offish, when I pointed out that I don't want the 1500+ yen pork meat buffet, wanted the chicken one for 1080 as advertised instead. (as above, when you sit down, check the tablet device, and make sure your total is correct. they still put a different buffet option in even though I asked for the chicken one.) The drinks are very watered down. Orange juice was very pale and tasted bland. coke tasted off. The wet hand towels have a bad smell, indicating non sterile cleaning and reusing, even though it's "contained in a sealed plastic baggy". Most likely vacuumed sealed after they "wash" it. the "music" they play in the store is on TV, and can be seen as a Youtube playlist. NOT a bad thing, just a note.
The good: only once of the 3 times I went, the chicken was somewhat fresh and tasted not bad. the other staff seem friendly enough, aside from that one guy. decorations/ambient lights/seating/air temp was all...
Read moreThis place has really good food! Tiny space though. My friend and I had the 90min all you can eat platter and some drinks. Definitely recommend it and the Korean chuhi. You can refill anything on the platter and the sides. Everything was so filling we hardly asked for refills.
Service was a bit below average for restaurants in Japan. They pretty much didn't hear us whenever we called them. The other patrons around us helped with that though. Just know that it can be a bit pricey for both of us and one drink each we spent about 5,400...
Read moreKinda not that good. We had dinner here on a Sunday night and first of all we didn't even get the standard side dishes that they would serve you in every korean restaurant (yk kimchi and pickles or eggs etc....), we just got these kinda tasteless chips idk don't ask. Ttobbokki and fried sweet potatoes were good but apparently the fried chicken (according yo my friend) was terrible... also more expensive...
