ANTIVINO — Restaurant in Tokyo

Fantastic place. Authentic Italian, but sometimes with a slight Japanese twist. Such as a good steak (Manzo) but made with Japanese quality beef, or a carpaccio of sliced Japanese quality beef (slightly seared) and with mushroom. We sat at the kitchen counter (highly recommended) and could see the dedication and great team work of the staff. The chef and other staff were training a new staff and their patience was impressive. Prices are very reasonable, although the bottled wine (really large selection of Italian wines sorted by region) is on the higher price end (then again it has to come from afar). I usually come here for dinner but decided to come for lunch during my stay in Tokyo! As a pasta lover + Japanese person who has lived in Italy, I can guarantee that this restaurant is one of the BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN A WHOLE WORLD. Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere! My last night in Tokyo and I was too exhausted to look further than round the corner from my accommodation....
