What a wonderful dinner! :)
For starters, had a wild Kyoto boar terrine, a little bit similar to liver pate scent which was delicious. had very nice gibier ”Ezo (Hokkaido)” venison roast with seasonal vegetables - the main dish. Served by Staub pot. Very tender and not greasy at all. Sometimes French cuisine tend to change the food itself taste completely....(Well, just in my opinion though), but this restaurant was not one of those kinds. All food looked fancy and also can taste each material/ingredient. Very Good. For dessert, ordered Mont Blanc. Amazingly good. It was served by a big round glass with kinda sorbet Yuzu. Not too sweet and chestnuts taste reminded me the autumn season.
It was a French cuisine week - they had a good deal. So yes still it's a high-grade dinner but a little bit reasonable price for us. There were multiple choices for the starter, the main, and the desert. It was hard to choose!
Especially the atmosphere was superb. The decoration was great but also appreciated the stuff. They were very nice, not snobby at all in spite of such a high-grade French restaurant.
P.S. Oh...one more thing, the powder room was really ice. ;)
P.S....
Read moreNot an expert on this, but I think this place USED to have a Michelin star? Key word being “used”.
Obviously location is excellent, with a close walking distance to the always fancy Omotesando and a splendid view on the Shibuya skyscraper scene. Inside interiors are European inspired and, that being Japan, over the top and weird. Check out the geese monuments by the 2nd floor windows...
Great service, which is important at such price point. However I did come with regulars who visit this place every month, so can’t be 100% sure on how friendly and welcoming it would have been if I visited alone.
Food wise...fair. I don’t have much else to say. Foie gras was foie gras. Fish was fish. Dessert was quite curious, seems like it is one of these original Alain Ducasse recipes, but nothing that made me jump of joy. To be honest, I could get the same quality in literally any random French bistro which are so plentiful in Japan these days. In this case I wouldn’t have to pay ~10,000JPY for 3 dishes though.
Give this 3 stars because of location, service, and the fact that everything was simply...

Place : a bit too noisy, more like a bistro. I would expect a more intimate atmosphere of a classy French restaurant.
Food quality : correct but not exceptional, regular French food, with classic menu. Only dessert from Alain Ducasse chocolate atelier deserved a good point.
Cost performance : really bad, lunch course start+main+dessert for 3800¥ but most items in the menu are tagged +1000 or +1500 even for a classic paté en croûte, pricy drinks and service charge. Price/Quality is definitely worse than many good French places in Tokyo. You can count a Total of minimum 12,000 for 2 with only 1 drink per person.
Service : quite standard, does not really justify +7% on the bill. Moreover better double check the bills since there was a mistaken item on...
