Bistro Vino Roppongi — Restaurant in Tokyo

Visiting from Australia we greatly appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality we received at Bistro Vino in Roppongi.

On a first visit my wife and I felt immediately relaxed by the Bistro’s friendly staff and ambience as we enjoyed the great wine selections.

Returning for the last family meal of our holiday, we couldn’t have picked a better venue than this one.

We went for lunch over the weekend. Surprisingly, we were able to walk in without a reservation. The wines are sold at cost from their cellar, but with an added 1100¥ (I think) cork fee. The burger and truffle tater tots were amazing. Service was excellent and I look forward to going back one evening to try the dinner menu. Very welcoming restaurant and artistically, beautifully set up.

Update: dinner is even better! We ordered all the fish dishes and most of the appetizers. Swordfish is fabulous! The meatballs were excellent. We enjoyed the patio. Just a great...

I had the Thanksgiving course here. I loved the salmon appetizer, the salmon was perfectly cooked and it was delicious. In the main course, I found that my turkey was unevenly cooked and some places were soft some were hard and rubbery. The mashed potatoes lacked a little bit of seasoning. The bread stuffing was decent.

In the dessert, in my opinion the apple crumble was a little less sweet.

Overall, I felt that the meal should have been more delicious for the cost I paid for it.
