Good coffee and matcha latte but terrible manners from the staff so unless you dont mind this, then I would say the coffee is good.

There were 4 of us and due to limited seating, we sat outside and had a climb a flight of stairs to order. I ordered 3 drinks and was informed it is minimum one drink per pax. I was abit taken aback cause usually this sort of rules will be mentioned in the menu (based on my experience with other Japanese restaurants and cafes), so I was suspicious whether they just made that up? The menu was purely in English.

Thereafter, I just added on another drink (yes, they charge extra for a straw), and not too sure whether I was overthinking but the staff sort of “slammed” all the coffee mugs on the pick up table to me. No food tray was given and no thank you was said. my mom and I had to carry 4 drinks down the flight of stairs on our own. I was travelling with elderly parents and my autistic brother so yeah, abit of hospitality would have been nice.

Thankfully, this is just a one off bad experience for our Japan trip as most other places, everyone is super polite...

I truly envy the folks in this neighborhood who can wake up to grab a cup of coffee or unwind everyday in this down-to-earth, cozy cafe. Drip coffee was delicately crafted by baristas who care equally about their craftsmanship and customers. Loved the open window facing the quiet, public street (in fact, I could have sat on that indoor bench and people watched all day). Outdoor seating available too if weather permits. I ordered the hot hazelnut latte and was very impressed. The coffee was smooth, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared.
