This shop seems to prioritize Japanese customers, with unclear service policies for foreigners. Looking through other reviews, it appears many non-Japanese visitors have had similarly negative experiences. I would suggest foreign tourists exercise caution if considering visiting. After a tiring shopping trip, I looked for a place to sit and have a drink. I ordered at this shop, and at no point was I asked if I wanted to dine in or take away. Assuming it was a standard café where one could sit down, I found an empty table after ordering. A male staff member approached and asked me to move. I thought the tables might be reserved, so I waited by the door. Moments later, I observed the same staff member serving complimentary tea to four Japanese individuals seated near me, while my friend and I were not acknowledged or offered anything. When I inquired at the front desk about this differential treatment, the staff's English was limited, and they were unwilling to use a translation device, simply repeating 'no.' I then asked the male staff member why he treated us differently. He stated they only served customers waiting for dine-in seating and that 'takeaway' customers like us were not their responsibility. I had not indicated a preference for takeaway. No apology was offered. This experience was quite disappointing and could negatively impact a foreign visitor's perception...
Read moreMy recent visit to this bubble tea shop was incredibly disappointing and quite upsetting.
From the moment I entered, the staff seemed to have a preconceived notion about me. When I ordered, they didn't even ask if I was dining in or taking out; they simply assumed I was taking it to go.
After receiving my drink, I attempted to sit down inside the shop, but was immediately told to leave by a staff member. While I understand there might be reservations, the manner in which I was addressed felt dismissive. I then waited outside the shop for my drink to be prepared.
What happened next solidified my belief that this was DISCRIMINATION. A male staff member in a black shirt came out and offered water to other Japanese customers sitting on either side of me, completely skipping over me and my companion. When I tried to question his actions and whether it was discriminatory, he simply shook his head and repeatedly said "no," unable or unwilling to communicate in English.
This establishment clearly practices differential treatment towards foreigners. I strongly advise AGAINST visiting. You can see similar low-rated reviews on Google Maps detailing similar experiences. This level of disrespect and apparent discrimination is simply...
Read moreWe ordered a few teas, match, bubble tea and a few sweets.
The Taiwanese tea was quite good. And was still good after 3 refills.
The Matcha was very sweet, although we asked "less sweet". Feels like it came from a sweetened powder or syrup.
The bubble milk tea was very watery and did not have a strong taste.
The yuzu tea was also very sweet.
The sweets were good, the mochi was yummy and very flavorful. Matched well with the syrup. The castella was also fluffy and just the right sweetness.
Regarding the place, it is very nice, and comfortable, but having noodle dishes - with strong smells - served in a tea house breaks the subtle aroma and taste of the teas.
The service was good and quick. The ordering is done via a web page, which on occasions crashed and...
