CLANN BY THE RIVER — Restaurant in Tokyo

We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and decided to have a quick beer after check in. The staff aren’t were not very attentive and we found the beer to be expensive and a little sour tasting. We decided to give it another go and arrived for dinner later that evening. The weather was lovely, so we decided to sit on the huge deck for dinner, only to be told that we could only use their takeaway menu while dining on the deck (only a very small selection of food), so we had to sit inside. We ordered the fish and chips and grilled shrimp (which was on the specials menu). The shrimp came out as an appetiser and the fish and chips was large in size but so oily! The menu offered was very expensive and again staff not attentive. I then decided to order a takeaway coffee (cafe latte) the next morning on our way out, and could barely even drink it as it was extremely hot. I removed the lid to let it cool down and accidentally spilt it on my hand, which burnt me! I went back to ask for some ice for my hand and some cold water for the coffee. The staff again not very helpful and didn’t really care that I had hurt myself. I think the the staff really need to be trained how to make coffee in the correct way - boiling the milk is not right! The atmosphere is good and the food is not bad. However, it seems every time I'm there, some issue comes up. I've had times where almost all beer is sold out or some foods were quite limited. Most recently on a sunny day was asked to wait outside even though half a dozen tables were available inside. After 20 minutes of waiting, I gave up. I just wanted to have a quick drink, but got a nice suntan instead. Lastly, the prices aren't exactly nice with a pint being 1,800 yen. If you're patient and don't mind the costs, could be a decent afternoon, but keep...

Nice location, disappointing service. Their breakfast goes from 7-9.30 last order. I got there 9.33 because I accidentally went to the hotel front desk first before finding the entrance to restaurant. Then the staff kept me waiting for about 6 minutes before acknowledging me just to tell me I can't order breakfast anymore. I know the rule is 9.30 but it feels ridiculous to be denied service for being 3min late. There were no other customers there. I left without ordering and went to get breakfast...
