【The male staff in this café are outrageously racist.】
I love the atmosphere and the taste of this place and I always try to be polite to this man, no matter how rude he is to me.
One day, out of the blue, he ordered me 「 never to come back. 」
Confused and horrified, I asked him politely, but he would not tell me why.
I liked the café and went there many times, but I was always particularly attentive, never barging in with a large group, giving off strong odours or staying too long. Even when he came with his dearest friends, he was particularly careful to avoid loud conversations and to speak in a whisper.
Still, I understood that he probably disliked me for some reason, but I believed that if I continued to be polite and courteous, he would one day treat me normally.
He never once said 'welcome' or 'thank you', only to me.
The female waitresses, other than him, always treated me politely as a regular customer and even made friendly small talk with me, so I understand that his terrible attitude was not my fault. I was really relieved when she was the only waiter.
Moreover, he never once wore a mask, even when the coronavirus was raging, and on top of that he was constantly coughing as he cooked.
I have never been treated as badly or as incomprehensibly as I have here in my life.
Please, I hope no one else feels the same way.

It was not clear if it was self seating or not and there was nobody available to talk to, so I temporarily grabbed a seat as I had been walking for over an hour. When the gentleman finally came by, I asked if it was okay to sit in Japanese, and he shockingly just grumbled that I already sat anyways and left the table.
He slowly served other customers, before deciding to take an order from other customers that came in 5-10 minutes later after I arrived. I had enough and left.
You win this time!
My recommendation:...
Read moreStraight out of an anime! As you’d imagine a Japanese cafe to be: dark wood, shelves of beautiful cups on saucers, coffee beans, and The villainous looking cafe owner with a silver mane. The coffee is also perfect: smooth and balanced in acidity. The toast breakfast set was ¥700, good value, especially as the toast was ridiculously delicious. Also gossipy: other customers consist of a couple grabbing breakfast before work, two lady friends, and an older 60ish year old man with a girl young enough to be his daughter but it was clearly a (!) relationship. Infinitely interesting...
