Daia Rock Kobe Beef — Restaurant in Tokyo

We had such a lovely experience at Daia Rock Kobe Beef. From the moment we arrived, Lucia made us feel genuinely welcome. She was warm, patient and took her time explaining the menu, which really helped us choose the right dishes.

We ordered the A5 sirloin and it was unbelievable — tender, buttery and just melted in our mouths. We went with Set Menu A, which came with soup, salad and rice, and everything was fresh and perfectly balanced. Our kids had the premium steak rice bowl with egg and vegetables and they absolutely loved it.

What made the visit even more special was when Lucia told us about the origami message tradition. She not only explained it but also helped the kids fold their origami and put it up on the wall with everyone else’s. Such a wholesome touch and something we will remember.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and tender fresh meat.

Walking through the streets of Asakusa, I was getting famished due to the heat during summer in Japan and decided to take a lunch break. I was drawn to Daia for the selection of beef but decided to stay due to the friendly staff and cute atmosphere - walls filled with origami papers and messages from patrons around the world.

Augustin was extremely friendly and patiently explained the menu to me. He even taught me how to make a butterfly origami and shared his recommendations on options for dining.

I truly enjoyed my meal. The meat was tender and every bite melt in your mouth. The sushi was also very fresh.

It was our first time trying Kobe beef. We’ve tried wagyu before but I can’t believe Kobe tastes even fattier. You definitely get what you pay for. The reason we had to write a review though is because of the service we received from Ishinoda. She was so kind and welcoming to our 18 month old daughter sulli! She helped sulli play with the fishing with the rubber duckies. That’s why we decided we had to try some Kobe nigiri while our daughter was busy! Thank you so much for the warm service Ishinoda!
