I stayed at ANNEX BUILDING So it is different building from main lobby. It places behind the main building. The room kinda old and smell weird but acceptable. The room size is big (I stayed at double room) One bed for two people. Don’t ever try to book this room if you stay with child, it must be very cramp. The amenities complete, you can get toothbrush etc from main lobby. And there is coffee stand also at main lobby. The worst thing for me is the key. They just give me 1 key for my room even I stayed with another person. So it’s kinda difficult when we not together. One of us cannot enter the building if we not bring the key. And they still use old ver of key not card key. No breakfast option, but there is familymart very nearby. And the best part is the location. Near by asakusa station, nearby asakusa tourist attraction. Many options of restaurant.

Extremely good value hotel especially if you book early. Has everything a solo traveller will need. Clean, well equipped room with friendly hotel staff. A key highlight of the hotel is their public bath that guests can use for free. Used it every night while I stayed there. The hotel is about 5 mins walk away from Asakusa station. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Tokyo!

Rooms are very small but this is standard in Japan. Make sure to request for double and not semi bed when you make the reservation if you have more than 2 people, because a semi cannot sleep 2... Also need to request for smoking free rooms if you don't like the smell. Really nice public baths downstairs but the hours are a little weird. 5 mins walk to asakusa station.

The first really disappointing experience in Japan. This hotel is trying its best but can not provide you with the most essential; sleep. The facilities are old, some rooms (or even whole floors in the front building) smell, the furniture is scratched, the minifridges need to be switched off at night or their noise will drive you crazy. And that is the main issue in this hotel: noise! You will hear when other guests use their toilets and bathrooms to shower or take baths. The old pipes will not let you sleep when another guest on the floor above you decides to take his bath towards 11 PM. I even had the luck to witness the rare fact that there apparently exist humans who prefer to have their baths at 3 AM! Nothing cures you from the idea of picking a cheap hotel like waking up to pipes screaming from boiling water and hearing the constant sound of a filling bathtub at 3 o'clock in the morning. I am not sure how other guests could rate this hotel as still not being loud. I lost 2 days of sleep and this is something you want to avoid on vacations. The sad part is that there is nothing you can do; the staff is doing their best, always friendly, looking tidy and showing the usual japanese courtesy. What should they do about such a problem? Switching rooms would not help and they can not rebuild the whole building to make the rooms soundproof. The staff is not to blame but I can not give a hotel with such a big flaw anything else than a 1/5 if it fails to provide you with the most essential; undisturbed sleep. I visited 3 other hotels in Japan over the course of the past two weeks but this hotel loses on all levels in comparison. It is not up to par with japanese standards and I recommend to pay a little bit more for safe sleep and the true japanese experience of todays modern hotels...

I just spent 5 nights in a single room at their main building. I love the location and how it is close to everything in Asakusa. The room was soundproofed so I didn't get the street noise. The housekeeping was done by lovely elderly ladies who leave a bag of neatly folded towels and pyjamas at your door if you have a 'do not disturb' sign out. ||||I didn't sleep very well as the duvet was a little dirty. They use a main duvet and line it with a bedsheet on its underside which means they don't wash the duvet and change only the sheet during room service. I found dust and hairs on the duvet so I requested for extra sheets to put between myself and the duvet. The management should seriously reconsider their bedding, especially for guests who are allergic/sensitive to dust.||||The front desk staff were helpful enough. Oddly, they refused my request to make a table reservation for a restaurant. I approached 2 staff members and they were adamant about not providing this service to guests. Finally, after much persuasion, I managed to get a lady to very reluctantly make a call to the restaurant. It was a very strange policy.||||I wish to thank a front desk staff - a young, bespectacled man- who assisted me in booking a taxi on 28 Jan, around 10:45pm and very very kindly took the trouble to take my luggage out in the pouring rain for the taxi. ||||Overall, my one and only complaint is the bedding. Otherwise, I had a good experience and the location...

This is an old fashioned hotel and has not been modernised.|However, many aspects of old fashioned have advantages.||We have stayed here regularly over the years, attracted by|the hotel’s perfect location. It is a short walk to the Asakusa|underground station and the Tobu line. It is also surrounded|by hundreds of shops and restaurants to suit all budgets.||Sadly, the Covid epidemic has lead to some of the familiar|faces at reception having disappeared, but those remaining|and the new additions maintain the same friendliness and|high level of service.||The rooms in the main building are quite spacious, with ample|room for our four cases. Two large double beds, good lighting,|plenty of electrical points for charging cameras, laptops and|other travel essentials. A good sized wardrobe and chest of|drawers. Large TV and refrigerator. Good desk and side table|with two chairs. Not everyone travels with an IPhone so telephones|on the bedside table and in the bathroom, with outside|connection were extremely welcome. Most of the hotels during|our trip had no phones and the few that did were only for|contact with reception.||Ice machine, coin laundry and microwave available on third floor.|Restaurant, with low cost breakfast on first floor and convenience|store on the ground floor.||The decor is a little dull, the carpets near the lift on the upper floors|are somewhat stained, but the space and convenience are more|than adequate...
