I visited April on a Saturday. Learned about this place on a HK TV show as a good place to try omakase in Tokyo at a reasonable price. We were a group of 5. As soon as we were seated, the waiters and waitresses wasted no time in rushing 6 to 8 dishes without waiting for us to take time to even finish 1 dish. There was little to virtually no introduction to the dishes. I do speak Japanese, not totally fluent, but would be happier if they at least explained in Japs or Eng what the dishes were. We were so put off that I had to call a waitress to just please slow down so we could enjoy our meal. She said they would after 2 more dishes served as there was a next booking after us. Finally a seemingly head waiter said the "set menu" was finished. It was like in a military run for that one and a half hour dining experience. So after all, it wasn't any omakase, it was just a set menu branded as Omakase, average food, poor service. A complete tourist trap. I much prefer a small cozy sushi place or even kaiten sushi, for at least I could eat at a...
Read moreI went on yelp to review this place and it was not there! This place is a gem. This place was the best quality of ingredients, unique recipes, and amazing atmosphere that we experienced in ginza and rather our week long gastro experience across Japan. The sakura octopus was tender and delicious, the tuna melted in your mouth, and the sea urchin was delectable and presented perfectly. The dessert was unique and delicious. The food was 5/5 quality. The chef asked us what was our favorite and we were at a loss listing almost every item on the omakase menu. We booked this place weeks ahead of time and I’ll make sure to do it again next time I visit. My only regret was not taking photos of everything, but the food was too amazing to wait for a pic for everything. Every cent here was worth it. There were also drinks included, which were amazing and chefs rec is the way to go on the sakes! We came all the way from San Francisco, but I can’t wait...
Read moreWe want to thank Ono-san for a wonderful evening. His English is good and we had a fun time exchanging stories. This restaurant offers good value for money Omakase (Around 10k JPY per head) But if you are looking for genuine high quality sushi (& willing to pay at least double) , then you are better off some place else. This fish is decent. Waiters need more training as they did not removed our previous course plates until I requested them. And the Sushi Chef did not notice. How can anyone eat sushi with Cooked Course plates with sauces still in front of them ? And pls avoid the far left hand seats because they are close to the kitchen & toilet ! It is not pleasant when you are trying to enjoy your food and have a quiet conversation while there are a fair amount of noises from...
