Hantejiya Yaesu — Restaurant in Tokyo

Extremely racist and rude staff. Me and my JAPANESE girlfriend was there yesterday and in front of us there was a small group of only Japanese people. The staff took them in right away and gave them a table - WITHOUT asking if they have a reservation. I know this because we both speak Japanese and heard their whole interaction.

Then, me and my girlfriend come and the waiter makes a face, crosses his arm in a big X (❌) to signal us that we cannot come in. How do I know it was racist? Because if it was full due to reservations the staff would have ASKED US if we had a reservation. He did not. There were plenty of seats and tables left.

It was extremely apparent that it was a racial issue since I am white, and my girlfriend had touristy clothes on her so the racist old man must have thought we were both tourists. I live here, and she is from Tokyo, we both speak Japanese.

I cannot speak for the food, but I can definitely say - do not under any circumstance visit this place. We are both making sure to tell all of our friends and family to never go to this restaurant chain due to the treatment we received. Luckily I am an influencer with thousands of followers so I will make sure people know about it. We were shocked, she as much as I. This was the first time she got to see Japanese being racist to white people - sadly I have seen that a lot here.

I repeat: Do not under any circumstance eat at this place because if you do, you are supporting racism. Go eat...

平日11時半過ぎ、1名で伺いました。 店内は広く、お客さんが多かったですが、すぐに案内していただけました。席は2名掛けのテーブル席でした。

注文が決まってきょろきょろしていたところ、店員さんがすぐに気付いてくれ、入店から数分で注文ができました。注文時には、ポイント等を持っていないか確認の声掛けもあります。

料理は注文から9分ほどで到着しました。 純豆腐チゲのスープは酸味が強いタイプで、本格的ながら日本人好みの味付けで美味しかったです。具沢山なのも特徴的で、特に韓国式のお餅のもちもちした食感が気に入りました。ご飯の炊き加減もちょうど良く、スープに入れて最後まで美味しくいただきました。 サービスでいただいた韓国のりも、ごま油の風味が豊かで美味しかったです。袋でもらえるので、おやつや自宅での食事にも使えるのが嬉しいポイントです。

お会計時にはクリオネアプリを提示し、ポイント割引を使用しました。支払いはPayPayで行いました。入店から退店までの所要時間は約36分でした。
