PROS|—Convenient location to/from Tokyo Station. If you arrive by train it's easiest to find your way to Yaesu Central Exit and walk above ground, the hotel is a short distance away (cross the street, straight walk, turn right, and straight walk to destination), not a problem with suitcases||—The room is tiny (tiniest out of the many hotels we stayed at in Japan during our trip) but was spotless and in new condition. There are USB outlets next to the bed so you can charge your phone if you don't have a Japanese plug. Would recommend this hotel for sleeping and for the convenient proximity to the station, but not if you plan on spending time in the room||—We were greeted well by front desk staff, they speak a little English and will use Google Translate if needed|||CONS|—Check-in time is 3pm, they charge 2,200 JPY for every hour earlier (starting from noon)||—Although we managed to cram two large suitcases into the room, it was for sure claustrophobic and left us no floor space. In a perfect world, a tiny room like this would be equipped with smart solutions for storage and luggage, perhaps luggage racks that fold down from the wall, etc.||—The room door isn't soundproof so the hallway can get noisy. We could also hear some noise from adjacent rooms, voices were muffled but we would hear the headboard of the room next door creak every time someone leaned against it||—The double bed is very small and firm. Only one small pillow is provided per person, since the top of the headboard has an overhanging ledge, you're unable to sit on the bed and lean against it unless you use two pillows as back support (meaning, two people won't be able to sit against the headboard at the same time)||—Breakfast buffet was a bummer as it had little to choose from and basically no variety, if you stay longer than two nights, you'll be over it. They also close breakfast at 9:30am which is very...

Read moreHotel is 5 min walk to the Tokyo station. It's on the east side of the tracks called Yaesu (八重洲), which is an underground shopping plaza. The exit is about the middle of the plaza and two flights of steps to the street level. Alternatively, if you come out of the main entrance of the Tokyo station on the street level, it's two blocks away and hotel is on the right.
Ginza, a very commercial district with lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. It is located about 15 min from the hotel. I ventured out at about 10 pm and it was still bustling with people. Bars were closing and men and women were streaming out. It was a scene to watch!
hotel room is small by western standard, but it's very functional and everything is laid out logically. I only have 1 large and 1 small luggage, and I feel it's good size for me. If you have a lot of luggage, it will be a problem. They provide a complete set of toiletries and include what you expected plus a few more. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioners were nice. The front desk was courteous and check-in was efficient. The next day, they stored my luggage for me while I went out to sightseeing.
Breakfast, which was included, was adequate with a few varieties of Japanese and western foods. The coffee from the machine was good. One concern I think should be addressed is that it's buffet style and the food is just put on the table without any shield. People can cough and contaminate the food.
Overall I had a nice stay and would be happy to stay again. The value is great for the location and...
