HINANO — Restaurant in Tokyo

It was a case of being with the wrong company at the wrong place.

Suitable for adults, drinks and burgers, smoking allowed judging from the smell upon entering. Pretty chatty ladies to keep you entertained at bar counter. Patrons include men drinking solo at bar counters and also working couples. I love the lady on that day, but my predicament is that I came with my wife and my 4-year-old so being arranged to sit at a separate table. Again, I love that lady, but an other, already tried his best I guess, couldn't hide his glare towards us when my son was rolling his toy shinkansen across the dining table, is he gonna scratch the table? i think its unlikely, and kid is just being kid, anyway no smile or attempt to make connection whatsoever thereafter so I guess his feeling was made clear. The intimidating feeling on Tokyo train rushed back. The burger was excellent I thought, creative blend of buffalo wings sauce into a cheese burger. Unspoken  means lots of guessing games, and because i have to guess, the way I see it is that as much as they can't give any chance for a kid who was just being a kid, well not a Japanese kid, I can't give them any benefit of the doubt for whatever going on in their mind. Maybe it was my kid, maybe i shouldn't step in if i know i can't control my kid down to that detail. But with just that, at that very moment, as I bit through my well made burger, stress overpowered any enjoyment of the food or the ambient, the lady as well...

Really nice guy and all but wasn't a fan of this place. The vibes were nice but the food not so much. After being seated and ordering entrees, found out the patties aren't beef, they're a combo of beef and pork... so i ended up getting a chicken burger as a last resort. It came out grilled, not fried and I was just expecting something totally different. They need an English menu that actually says what the things are ie grilled / fried etc. Ordered Coke for 400jpy and the tiniest half empty glass came out - what?? Who is stingy on a soft drink? And the buffalo wings were the only nice things but 800jpy for 4? I wouldn't visit again sorry.

We spent $75 on 3 burgers, 1 entrees and 3 cokes :/ just wasn't...

This resturant was just incredible. Not only was the food amazing (Order the Mahi Mahi Burger, it will change your life), the drinks were also so refreshing. But my highlight was the music. It introduced me to a whole new fun and interesting genre. The host was also a really cool dude. His bartending skills were on point, and he made some nice conversations with us about our trip to Japan. Will definatly visit this amazing place again next...
