Hiroshima Okonomiyaki Big-Pig — Restaurant in Tokyo

First the good: Good vibe and friendly staff. The baseball theme was pretty interesting. It does have English menu and happens to have one English speaking waitress.

Now, the bad: You can't survive on vibe alone. The food was disappointing...bland. Pretty low on the value-for-money scale. I was shocked by the portion of the appetizer I got. Take a look at the pictures. I guess the takeaway is that if you decide to come here, take the pictures on the menu with a grain of salt....and if you order the sea urchin appetizer, get the large order. If you trust the picture in the menu, that is.

Come with the right expectation, then perhaps...

Really enjoyed Big Pig. Located in the basement with a baseball sports pub feel. It's very large. English speaking staff. They have a English menu (but it's not complete like the Japanese menu). It's loud, welcoming, and fun. The food is really good too! I ordered the cheese okonomiyaki and my wife the Hiroshima. Both were fantastic 👏 waiting staff very helpful. I suggest the sour lemon asahi as well very tasty, and our side orders just as good. Left feeling satisfied and content, staff fairwelled us after my Japanese...

Just as like the okonomiyaki it serves, this place is Hiroshima- themed, meaning that several customers will be from Hiroshima and if there’s a Carps game the place will be boiling. That made it fun, but at some point can be annoying having drunk people speaking very loudly next to you. Foodwise the food was good and came faster to what we were...
