Komeraku — Restaurant in Tokyo

We ate here as a family of four with a 12-year old who wasn't keen on any of the options. The waitress very kindly asked the chef on my behalf if we could have a bowl of plain rice for my daughter, even though it wasn't on the menu. I just "accidently" entered the resurant on a stroll thru the underground passages of Shinjuku. I was greeted with top hospitality and since I didn't had this particular food experience yet, got the full 101 of Ohitsu rice bowl and how to eat it. The tuna selection I already mad outside on the menu. Serving was fast and did not disappoint. Very interesting variety, you really get two dishes in one. Each one in it's own style, both delicious.

As an expat i tried Ochazuke for the first time. I thought Ochazuke was a bowl of white rice mixed with some kind of tea but it turned out to be way more. Meat, veggies, rice, and salted roe(?) is decently served in one bowl. After eating half, pour the soup and mix it well with the leftover.
