This place was amazing! I'm not sure of the name of the lady who served us, but she was phenomenal. Her English wasn't great, but she made a real effort to translate what we couldnt understand with our limited Japanese (which is not something I would ever expect of anyome serving me in Japan) She was extremely nice, polite and truly acomodating. She had a bubbly personality and really went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable.
The food was incredible.... I had the most expensive cut at just under $100 (The chateaubriand) and it just melted in my mouth. It was perfectly salted, and the addition of the mustard seeds was just amazing. Seriously the best steak I've ever had. The chef did an outstanding job, truly. The wagyu spaghetti was also just delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and and the wagyu meatball on top really made the dish. The "French fries" weren't the best I've ever eaten, and they weren't what (as an aussie) I'd call "French fries" but they were still pretty good nonetheless.
Overall, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and amazing staff. I highly reccomend coming here if you're ever in the Akasaka area and looking for a meal. I know it certainly won't be my...
Read moreI cannot recommend this place enough!! I came for the wagyu and tried cuts 1,2, and 3 (by having one of the plates and adding a 3rd cut) in addition to the burrata and mango caprese salad. Everything was faaaantastic!! I’m typically a steak purist and don’t like anything other than salt and pepper on my meat, but the addition of Japanese wasabi, mustard, and garlic chips was just out of this world! Each piece was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and presented perfectly. I also highly recommend the mango burrata salad - it came with prosciutto and had a perfect balance of salty and sweet. In addition, the chef was beyond amazing. She is clearly passionate about food and has crafted an exceptional menu. During our visit she brought out the main meal and explained the dish/cuts. Lastly, we found the portion sizes to be great (we left satisfied and not overly full) and the price very reasonable. Please do visit this restaurant (they’re also very accommodating for foreigners and...
Read moreMade a reservation in advance prior to our trip to Tokyo. The restaurant was on a curated list of restaurants for overseas JCB cardholders and we selected it based on the reviews. The food was generally ok, nothing mind blowing especially if you factor in the price of the course. The cuts of beef and breeds on offer were a big plus. The chef definitely cares about what he puts forth on the plate, which is always good to see.
From a service perspective, expect it to be on the slow side as the restaurant is essentially overwhelmed when it is operating at full capacity. Unfortunately, given the limitations in floor (particularly kitchen) space, there really is not much that they can do to improve on that department.
Overall, it was still an enjoyable meal and the staff members are extremely friendly and polite. It is just that there is a lot of competition out there in Tokyo and this is, from my perspective, a realistic reflection of where they...
