We were lucky to be assigned the only table with couches. I wonder if I felt the same if we were seated at a table with normal chairs.
The couch is kinda low, and we were all kinda little squeezed in the couch and I felt like being back in the uni days having a chill soirée at a friend's place.
The cafe was full house with all guests chattering in good mood. The noise level was high enough to make it kinda difficult to hear the conversation of my own group, but I guess you can't help the noise in a confined space where everybody's having such a good time. I liked the fact that there is no music at all so the mood of the crowd determines the vibe of the night.
Foods there are interesting. Looking at the menu, I could have a glimpse of the creativity and imagination of the kitchen, and when you actually have the plates on your table, you can taste the touch of that creativity at the tip of your fingers (the crisps) or of your tongue (the oysters).
The ambiance is kinda modern, kinda jazzy with the dim lighting. I liked the fact that it doesn't feel too confined and connected to the outside and fresh air despite it being located underground. Try go down the stairs and explore what Hachi has to offer for your magical evening. Get the couch...
