We are no expert of Japanese culture but this place looked super authentic.
Just outside of the one of the main streets of the very central and rich neighborhood of Ginza, this restaurant screams authenticity with its understated and friendly atmosphere.
Not surprisingly all the guests apart from us were Japanese. One group seemed to be celebrating an imminent birth!
We ordered a special lunch set. We discovered only later that that meant having our eel boiled while ideally we would have liked to have it roasted.
Luckily the final result was still very good and we enjoyed the full meal.
A shame not being able to understand all the explanations that the evey gentle waitress was giving us.

Read moreWe went here for our last meal for our first trip to Japan from Canada. We were taken care of by employees 1 & 10. The employees were friendly, accommodating, and spoke a bit of English. We followed the instructions on the paper for different ways to try the anago, and every bite was delicious. It was such a great experience and the memory of this meal now holds a space in my heart and was a fantastic way to wrap up our trip.
