New Tokyo Beer Hall — Restaurant in Tokyo

This German themed beer hall is located near the Ginza station and ten minutes from the Hibya Gardens. They have a nice lunch menu for under 10US. I enjoyed the ambience as is was a pub feel but on the nicer side of decorum similar to Europe. I needed a beer and I loved having a booth. This was a nice break from other Japanese restaurants both in seating style and the social atmosphere suiting a pub. Noise level was not too loud so you could still enjoy your meal.

とある金曜日の夜。有楽町で創業80年を数える老舗ビアホールを訪問致しました。再開発される以前の古いビルの頃は何かと通ったなぁ。知人と久々に来ましたよ！

場所はJR線路際の飲み屋が密集する妖しいエリアに立地する新しめのオフィスビル。テナントとして１、２階に入居しており、今回は予約済みの２階のビアホールに潜入。

店内は道幅広めのゆったりとしたレイアウト。テーブル席を中心に、壁伝いにはBOX席が並んでおります。この夜は予めBOX席を予約済。端っこの一番落ち着くエリアからお店全体を眺めます。

お通しに続いて注文したのは、

名物のカミカツはビッグサイズを注文。薄く伸ばした豚肉を軽く揚げたカツレツは、ニュートーキョー１番人気。敷いてあるキムチ和えキャベツと一緒にサッパリと頂きます。ソースをかけなくても旨し！

生ビアはドイツで伝統的に受け継がれる陶製シュタインジョッキ。厚みがあり重いジョッキで飲む生ビアは感激もひとしお。このジョッキに入っているだけで美味しく感じますわ。

個人的には香ばしく苦味の強いビアが好きですので、チェコ起源の『エーデルピルス』が最高でしたね。その代わり、カクテルやサワーは普通だったかな。３種類の飲み比べはお得感あっていいですよ。

初めは少し閑散としていた店内でしたが、ラストオーダー近くになると何だかんだ満席に。流石は老舗ビアホールの実力。お値段も安くはないけれど、銀座エリアにしてはかわいいレベル...
