Old Thailand — Restaurant in Tokyo

This place has a nice deck area that overlooks the intersection below. I was dining alone and the weather that day was cold and windy so I sat inside,by the door to the outside deck. The place was packed for lunch on a weekday; filled with local office workers. I ordered the pad thai and unfortunately it took a while (even taking into account the lunch rush). It came with a soup and 1 rice paper spring roll. The soup was a bit too sour for my tastes but still flavourful. The pad thai was quite wet and sticky. I'm not sure if it depends on the region of Thailand but I've never had one this wet and soggy before. The flavours were correct, but for me, texture is a big factor. Lawrd this was awesome. Came here for a conference and needed a quick lunch that wasn’t an onigiri or McDonalds. This was SUCH an excellent find! Great food, quick and friendly service, great prices too! The lunch sets came with spicy clear soup (you can request nonspicy) and two rolls (i forgot the name). The rolls have peanuts so just be warned if you have allergies. I was really impressed by the staff. They were friendly and tried to accommodate me. The lunch menu is very limited and offers no vegetarian options. But they left out meat and shrimp from the green curry for me. The waitress had the presence of mind to not serve me the lunch menu soup, because as she said, it was a chicken broth based soup.
