Tokyo Midtown Hibiya is one of those higher-end shopping malls housed in a skyscraper. There are several of them around Ginza, and we were drawn to this one because hey, it was parfait time! We had just walked out of the Imperial Hotel where we started feeling the need for something sweet and fruity.
I found this spot on Google Maps, and my husband and I didn't hesitate. There were a lot of fancy premade pastries and desserts on display, so we knew we hit the right place. It was busy though we got lucky in securing a table immediately just as we saw people starting to queue outside. We started with a couple of the ¥759 Iced Caffe Lattes which came with a yummy flat of chocolate.
My husband went conservative with his dessert order, the ¥858 Gran Pistache, but it was deceptively lush upon first bite. It turned out to be a bombe made with milk chocolate and strawberry ice cream and cherry jelly layered on top of a pistachio pandienne covered with a thick pistachio mousse. I found it rather dense but he finished it off, no problem. Of course I went for a classic parfait.
It was appropriately named for me, the ¥1,980 Royal Fruity. It was quite a production with strawberries, pistachios, and orange slices anchored by chocolate sauce and topped by scoops of royal milk tea and lemon ice cream and accented by premium chocolate pieces. It was what I wanted even though it probably wasn't what I needed, but hey, it was parfait time!

Had the waguri seasonal parfait for late night dessert. The restaurant was busy but was able to get a table straight away and the parfait took about 10 minutes to arrive which was pretty fast. Presentation was beautiful and the chestnuts and mont blanc cream were very tasty. It was paired with blondie chocolate components which added a neutral sweetness to complement the chestnut flavor; as well as yuzu for a contrasting and refreshing citrus note.

Visited after dinner hours and it was very busy but fortunately I got a table without waiting. The seasonal parfait was beautifully arranged with so many components, so the price was much higher than the standard parfaits on the menu. Taste wise it was pretty good, but nothing stood out particularly. Also had the specialty coffee which didn't have much depth of flavor. Service was attentive and the parfait took a reasonable amount of...

The parfaits were beautifully arranged but the taste was quite ordinary, nothing stood out much. The muscat parfait was much more expensive (around ¥3,000) than a regular parfait (around ¥2,000). You get a ¥200 discount on a drink excluding alcohol if you order it with the parfait. The drinks we got were specialty coffee and hot chocolate chai at around ¥900 each before discount. The bill came out at almost ¥7,000 for two people. Didn’t take too long to get our orders. Probably...
