PIZZA SLICE 2 is a modern restaurant which they serve New York style pizza. The shopkeepers trained for two years in New York before opening this restaurant. Usually, restaurants serve a pizza that is not cut. But they offer a 20-inch pie, cut into eight slices prepared in a New York fashion. PIZZA SLICE 2 is the second restaurant of PIZZA SLICE. PIZZA SLICE is located in Daikanyama and this place is also stylish. PIZZA SLICE is relaxing, casual atmosphere, and open space. On the other hand, PIZZA SLICE 2 is more fashionable, cool atmosphere and calm space. I have ever been to Daikanyama’s PIZZA SLICE, so I chose PIZZA SLICE 2 this time.
This restaurant is located in Minami-Aoyama just 2 minutes on foot from Omotesando station A5 exit. I could go to the restaurant easily. The building is very stylish. 1F and 2F are apparel shop “H BEAUTY&YOUTH”. B1 is PIZZA SLICE 2. Enter the restaurant, we can see fence of partition, wooden tables, and white tiled walls. The interior seems to be the world of American movies. We can choose items while watching the showcase with large pizzas. By the way, This restaurant is an open kitchen. So, we can enjoy the making of pizza while waiting. You can also pay with a credit card but from ¥3000. It is inconvenient.
I was satisfied with the menu of this restaurant. Pizza has many kinds of taste. Cheese Slice, Pepperoni Slice, Italian Sausage Slice, Mushroom Slice, and more. But we can not change the pizza type. This restaurant pizza is crispy and thin. One slice size is same as iPad, its length about 25 centimeters! And one slice is ¥390~. I was surprised at this reasonable price. However, I could not eat more because the pizza was heavy. There are no fresh vegetables on these pizzas, and fatty. Also, we can not order a salad. It was the point that I was disappointed. This restaurant menu is not just pizza. There are some donuts, original drinks, and soup. I could not eat donuts last time because it sold out in the evening, and I went dinner time. If you want to eat donuts, I would like to recommend that you go by lunchtime. The drink menu is varied. There are not only soft drinks but also coffee, beer, cocktails, gin and tonic, and wine. Especially, Home Made Lemonade and Pink Lemonade Squash are surprisingly tasty. Overall, it can be said that this restaurant can be enjoyed by children to adults.
I could spend the time with this special restaurant. Lunchtime is two slices and one drink in all ¥1000. I’m going to try...

The pizza is good, but not the best in the world. It is New York style, but if you go in expecting New York quality you're going to have a bad time. If you go in expecting anywhere else but NYC quality New York style pizza you'll probably be happy.
The dough is thick and well made, probably the standout individual point of the pizza.
That said, the sauce is pretty sweet which some people will not like. I personally don't mind it, but be aware if you are turned off by sweet pizza sauce.
The cheese is also not super flavorful, but it is plentiful. This is most likely a symptom of being in Asia, flavorful cheese at a reasonable cost doesn't really exist and if slices were 1000yen each people wouldn't come.
Speaking of price, I find the cost performance to be good, the slices are "America" big and from 390yen to 600 yen depending on toppings.
The staff is fine, if you don't speak Japanese you'll be fine. But they aren't super warm either, they just get the job done and leave you alone.
If you are going in looking for Italian style neapolitan pizza you will be very disappointed. There are places in Tokyo that specialize in Italian pizza that do a great job, but at a much higher cost. Google "neapolitan Tokyo" for endless discussion about these places.
There is a location in Shibuya as well as Roppongi, I can speak for the Shibuya location as it's essentially the same experience as this location. Haven't been to Roppongi's location yet.
In conclusion, considering price and what you get this is one of my favorite pizza places in Japan, but it's a fairly low bar to clear. However if it was located in New York City it wouldn't survive. If you want better NYstyle pizza,...
Read moreThis is a conceptual mismatch. There are various pizza-by-the-slice places in many places in Japan that have been around a lot longer but this places has growing pains to work through.
The pizza is okay if very hot but soon looses that appeal and flavour as it cools.
This place has the ideas of cheap New York themed sliced pizza but at Japan prices. Given the costs of needed ingredients in Japan plus the location, I think the prices are exactly what I think they should be but they've cheaped out with the thin paper plates, using paper bags instead of boxes for takeout, etc. You can't make such a cheap image without cheap prices.
They would be better off delivering a higher quality experience (plates, takeout boxes, cutlery for customers who want it, glassware for beverages) to deliver enough value to justify their prices.
The staff were very unfriendly and inefficient. This can easily also be about growing pains for any business but should be something they make a greater effort improving given that they are the front lines of customer interaction and engagement.
The interior is questionable but delivers on being somewhat unique. The kitchen space is disproportionately large but that could be due to unfortunate supporting column placement. There are "steps" to sit on making for an odd, cheap feeling experience.
There are better and worse aspects of this shop. If you can get pizza fresh, you should but there are a lot of down sides that I'd expect to mostly get improved...
