December 27th, 2024 Occasion: Lunch in a private room for a friend’s birthday My experience at this restaurant was disappointing from the very beginning. Upon arrival, I provided the name under which the table was reserved. Instead of a proper greeting or even a simple "welcome," the staff member went straight to the room where customers' coats are kept without saying a word to me. Where was the greeting? A simple phrase like "please wait a moment" would have been courteous. During our meal, we were served by a girl named SAKI, whose behavior was unprofessional and unpleasant. The service was consistently terrible throughout. To make matters worse, another staff had a long manicure. How is it acceptable to serve food in a restaurant with such long nails? This raises serious hygiene concerns. What if a customer gets sick? Would the restaurant compensate us for medical treatment or moral damages? I urge the management to re-educate their staff and remind them of basic customer service principles. They need to understand: They are not queens; they are service providers. Foreigners deserve the same level of respect as any...

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Prime 42 by Nebraska Farms, high above the city in the Shiodome City Center. The view alone is worth the visit — a breathtaking panorama stretching from Tokyo Tower to Skytree, with the city shimmering below like a living map.
The service was polished yet warm, attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Each course was beautifully presented and thoughtfully balanced: a delicate amuse-bouche, creamy pumpkin soup, and an exquisite Wagyu beef main course that was perfectly tender and full of flavor. Dessert — a small Tarte Tatin with a touch of Calvados ice cream — ended the meal on a quietly elegant note.
The wines were well-chosen, the atmosphere serene, and every detail felt considered. Prime 42 manages to combine refinement with genuine hospitality — an experience that lingers, not only on the palate...
Read moreI was hoping the staff could help take some photos during the proposal. However, since other guests might be in the background, I called ahead to ask if they could assist with the photography, which would only take about a minute. However, the server, Naoki Yamada (山田直樹), said he was too busy and didn’t have the time. I explained that it was for a proposal and asked if they could help, assuring them that we would try to keep other guests out of the shot. But he firmly said they couldn’t take any photos, not even for a minute, and not even just of us. I understand that the staff are busy, but isn’t taking photos for guests also part of their job? Especially when I mentioned that it would only take a minute. Aren’t restaurants like this often chosen for proposals and birthday...
