Was looking for some food options in Ginza, but unfortunately a lot of the places we had planned to eat at, usually closes around 2pm but luckily we came across this place and it turned out to be a pretty good Vietnamese food find for us. It's not the best Viet food I've had in Japan, you can check out other reviews but this is pretty good. The pho was OK, the broth was not very beefy, a little more citris for my tastes. The Bun Bo Hue was OK, not very rich in flavor but when you add the spicy chilies, it's pretty darn good. The egg roll vermicelli bowl was very good but you don't get that much compared to what you get in the US, but the rice paper wrapper on the egg rolls is so yummy. The side of red leaf salad was very refreshing because of the lack of veggies we get from most of the food we've been having in Japan. I recommend this food if you are...
Read moreDisappointing food and service. The beef pho didn't taste like pho at all, more like beef stock with rice noodles without any herbs or spices. The condiments on the table were good and added some flavor. But it's disappointing when the food tastes like nothing without a lot of extra sauce. It's good that the portion size was large with a generous amount of beef, but it's a waste when it's tasteless.
The service was the bare minimum also. The waiters did not look welcoming of customers or that they wanted to be there. It made for an awkward atmosphere.
I had good expectations with the menu options, pretty decor and theme and good online reviews, but I was disappointed by the experience...
Read moreThe restaurant setting was OK. The staff was friendly. However, the food ordered took quite a while to arrive at the table. The staff apologised for the delay but nothing was helped to make it faster. The fried chicken and spring rolls were far too brown and obviously the oil had been reused for an extended time. The taste concurred with the observation. The beef noodle soup was piled up with flat noodles with only a few pieces of beef. The taste was fine but nothing authentic. It's more like Taiwan beef noodle instead. The mochi ginger sweet soup was far from satisfactory. The mochi was under cooked. With the dining experience, we considered this the last time...
