Oh boy, where do I even start! We had to register, like weeks before coming. We mixed up days and came on a wrong date, our fault, no biggie. Before we noticed its a wrong day we already went into line. Everyone was told we should be there 10 minutes before our registered hour. It was raining, no one let us in until exact hour. We came again, this time correct date. Instead of letting us in, the staff came out to people standing in line and gave us a list to choose items we want to purchase. We could not see the items, we were not invited inside until we finished filling in papers, outside, seriously? When inside, a staff person started talking to us in Japanese, unfortunately our language skill was not good enough to understand what she was saying, none of the staff knew English! Unthinkable seeing how many foreigners visit this place - in our time there were at least 4 Eng speaking people including us. If it wasn't for a helpful woman next to us (hey if you're reading this, thanks a lot!) who knew English we would not know what they wanted of us, and boy you know what they wanted? It seems that if we don't have Japanese address we could not pick up some of the items we selected while given the list outside, because they are sent, not given away at store. Of course no postal service outside of Japan available. Shame they did not mention that anytime during visit registration offer? Sigh..
Ya dessert itself was good, but you'd expect something this expensive being good, no? If you're SM fan, go ahead, always an adventure, but objectively speaking, this place has awful customer support.
I sincerely hope someone will translate this to cafe's owner and they will improve...
Read moreJust okay.
It is about a 10-minute walk from Harajuku Station (Takeshita Exit). Busy area near Omotesando.
The entrance is located down a small alley.
Reservations are recommended. But even when you make a reservation, you still have to wait in line….ok.
Then what’s the point of making a reservation?
The reservation said you have a 2 hour limit, but they were kicking people out at 1.5 hours, and they were not shy about making you leave, too.
Multiple workers came to our table reminding us that we had to leave by a certain time..
We got the seasonal strawberry afternoon tea set complete with croissant sandwiches (barely chewable beef), mini soup cups, soggy macarons, a jelly cup of some sort, and some dry cupcake things.
The strawberry latte was an extra charge, but cheaper if you buy the set. It was way too much sugar and I regretted it halfway through. Could not finish the drink.
The decorations and atmosphere? Looks way better in photos on their website. It was gimmicky and not as polished as it seems on the website, but still, if you want to dress up and take some cute photos for social media, this is the place. Good photo ops.
When you make a reservation, you can ask them to write a special message on the plate. :)
Staff was kind enough to take pictures of...
Read moreI visited this cafe to check out their Halloween special afternoon tea and I must say I was surprised to find such a kawaii cafe near Omotesando hills.
The cafe is on the ground floor while the other two floors have a store with quirky accessories and clothes - cute but quite pricey.
We had pre-booked the afternoon tea set (2500yen) which include 4 sweets, bacon & spinach croissant and a corn pottage.
I chose the halloween special bitter chocolate drink with my set that came at an extra cost of 200 yen.
The cupcake and macaron were quite delicious and I quite enjoyed the savouries as well. However the drink was too bitter for my taste, it did look great but the taste was just okay , I should have rather gone for a simple cappuccino which might have paired better with the food.
But overall it was a great experience and a perfect spot for those cutesy IG-...
