Great atmospheric small restaurant. Went here for dinner with our 15 months old toddler. Had great service. Bartenders did speak english well enough to satisfy all english speaking customers (hate to admit our japanese is not so good). Bartenders were quite talktive and entertained their guests, they also entertained our toddler quite a bit. This was our first taste of sushi in Japan - we were not dissapointed, it was great! In this place you will get very good value for your money, because this place is not expensive but the quality is great! Thank you again and kanpai~~! Edit: Went here for second time on our trip (about 1,5 weeks after firts visit). Still, absolute best experience on our trip in Japan. Great sushi, great owners & staff, great customers. You feel so very welcome in this place. I feel bad for those who might miss visiting this this place because the place is small… Eventhough the owners will try to arrange place for everyone, that might want to come in. We were so lucky that we got to visit this place on both tries without reservation. We would visit a third time if we had the time. On our trip, this place was an absolute gem! No doubt. Recommend, recommend, recommend! Thank you!

YOU HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE! At first we were intimidated by the rowdiness of the restaurant but we were so glad we stepped in. It was rowdy because the owners make great effort to let the guests feel welcomed, even learning to speak English. If you're shy, there are corners where you can sit and just have a good meal, while listening to the entertaining conversations in the background. The hostess was making us laugh a lot by the end of the night even though it was so late that we thought that we didn't have anymore energy for fun. The sushi here was fantastic, too. The chef has decades of experience and it shows! He put in amazing care into his presentation and taste, and even varied the style of serving when we ordered the same thing thrice (the octopus aburi sashimi was something we couldn't have back home). I thought he put a lot of love into his craft. I really really loved the apple wine ginger which he recommended. It was not too sweet with a tinge of alcohol and paired very well with the sushi. Probably one of my most memorable experiences in Japan, and I'm so thankful for having stumbled across it!!!

Wow, what a memorable experience I had at this restaurant! I had been meaning to write this review for a long time, but the memories of my visit there are just so vivid that I had to take a moment to share my thoughts. We were visiting the area and searching for a good sushi restaurant with high ratings when we stumbled upon this place via Google. As soon as we saw the storefront, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for – cozy, inviting, and the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The sushi was delicious and spot-on, but the real standout was the hospitality of the owner and his wife. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, despite the fact that we were travelers from another country. We connected instantly and had a great time sharing stories, even though there was a language barrier. I can't recommend this restaurant enough to anyone in the area who is looking for delicious sushi, a comfortable and homey atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. Mamoru and Ikuyo were the highlights of my trip, and I will always cherish the memories I made there. Thank you for everything!
