We would give more than 5 stars if possible. The location is the best we've stayed in in Japan with it being super quiet and secluded while also benefiting from some major landmarks within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself was not only clean and spotless, but the aesthetic makes you feel like you've walked into a beautiful timepiece reflecting the history that the building brings. (They even have a book within the room explaining the history and story of the hotel, staff and building itself which shows you how proud the staff are of the business they have created)! The staff were second to none, they were all so lovely and welcoming. We initially arrived (accidentally) to their restaurant instead of the hotel and they actually walked us to the hotel! They were attentive and helped with our luggage by completely all of the forms to get it forwarded to the next hotel making our lives completely stress free. We HIGHLY recommend the Japanese breakfast that they offer. It was all fresh and local and not only extremely delicious, but Fuko, the chef and hostess who made it was so polite and welcoming. We'd personally like to thank all of the staff (Fuko, Azusa and Maki) we encountered within our time at Hotel Suzumeya Tsukiji for making us feel so welcome. If you want an amazing unforgettable experience then this is the place.

This was the most beautiful hotel experience we have had - not just in Japan, but everywhere else we have been in the past! Fuko is an incredible woman, truly a phenomenal one, who has built this hotel on her own from a century-old house and turned it into a cozy, authentic Japanese house experience all while so close to the bustle of Tsukiji Market. We are so impressed with her services and everything was more than what we asked for. She carried three of our heavy luggages up the stairs by herself when we went out to explore the city before check-in! And she prepared such a beautiful meal for us the next morning (reservation is required). The breakfast she made for me, a traditional Japanese breakfast, was the best breakfast I had in my life (no lie). The tamagoyaki she said was her mom's recipe, and I have had tamago in many places - hers is champion. Fuko is so sweet and really makes sure that you have the best stay. I am so impressed with her endeavors. She is truly an accomplished woman and business-owner and I wish her all of the best success! I look forward to booking Suzumeya in the future when I come back to Japan in 2025!

Our stay at this traditional Tsukiji hotel was unforgettable. The location was perfect for exploring Tokyo, with easy access to Tokyo Station, Tsukiji Market, and Ginza. The breakfast was delightful, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We stayed twice at this charming hotel: at the “old” one with a small, lovely room and the “new” one with even a bigger room end enough space for a kitchen, bigger bathroom, working place, sofa/ table and a big, comfy bed. Fuko and her team renovated this old building carefully just weeks ago. It turned out really lovely. We felt very comfortable with all the nice details and her sense of interior design. You can feel and smell the wood in a very good way. In the basement, they offer great coffee and breakfast. I loved, sitting at the bar or in front of the house, enjoying fresh brewed coffee or green tea. Fuko and here team will help you with recommendations and if you are interested in Japanese food or tea, I highly recommend the tea tour and food tour. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique Tokyo stay.

be careful with reservation. (Revised: Owner reached out day after reservation, informed glitch in system and canceled properly!)

The hotel confirmation said you CAN cancel. The link says you CAN'T cancel!

AFTER you book/process payment, they informed: The sink, and showers are shared. To access the shower room or rooms on the second floor, you'll need to climb steep stairs. We cannot take any responsibility for any injuries.

While we have implemented soundproofing measures, you might still hear noise from the Tsukiji Outer Market workers in the early morning.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by these aspects. However, we are always at the front desk and committed to providing heartfelt support for your comfort. Located in the lively Tsukiji Outer Market, a stay in this 100-year-old renovated house hotel offers a special experience. We hope you enjoy its unique atmosphere and charm.

To ensure a seamless check-in experience, could you kindly provide us with your estimated arrival time? Our standard check-in hours are from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

For other information on access and hotel services, please click here. If you have any questions or special requests, feel free to reach out. We're here to make your stay memorable! Safe travels, and we can't wait to welcome you.
