We arrived at the restaurant around 10:15 AM and found a line of about 18 people in front of us. It took approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to get a seat.
The restaurant has a strict rule: everyone who plans to dine must stand in line—no substitutions or placeholders. If the staff notices that your group is incomplete, you might lose your spot in line. We witnessed this firsthand when a group of three in front of us was denied entry because two members left the line to grab coffee.
Special Yuzu Shio Ramen: The flavor was perfectly balanced—delicate, complex yet approachable, fragrant, and refreshing. The yuzu taste and aroma were just right, enhancing the overall experience. The broth was so light and well-seasoned that I finished it to the last drop. The thin noodles were delicious with an ideal texture—not too soft. The toppings were great, though the scallops were on the smaller side, which was slightly disappointing. While the scallops were well-prepared, I wasn’t a fan of the ham, as I felt it didn’t match the dish’s overall flavor profile, though others in my group enjoyed it.
Special Porcini Shoyu Ramen: The shoyu broth was rich, balanced, and umami-packed without being overly salty. Adding the duxelles mushrooms, bite by bite, introduced a creamy and aromatic depth to the flavor, though I personally preferred the broth without the mushrooms. The smoked duck topping was tender and flavorful without overpowering the dish. The dumplings were tasty, but I felt the filling could have been a bit larger to better match the size of the wrapper.
Truffle Egg Over Rice: A simple yet delicious combination of raw egg, duxelles paste, and dashi-shoyu. It was comforting and easy to enjoy.
Overall Experience: If there’s no line, I’d happily return for the Yuzu Shio and Shoyu Ramen. However, waiting over an hour might not be worth it unless you’re eager to try one of the most popular ramen spots in town. The flavors are excellent, and it’s clear why the restaurant is so...
Read moreVenturing into the vibrant heart of Tokyo's Roppongi district, my wife and I found ourselves drawn to the tantalizing aromas emanating from Iruca Tokyo Roppongi. Despite the ever-present line, we braved the wait, driven by the promise of exceptional ramen and service that would leave us craving for more.
As we stepped inside, we were greeted by an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The air was thick with the scent of simmering broth and sizzling ingredients, hinting at the culinary delights awaiting us.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the ramen. The owner-chef's dedication to umami perfection was evident in every spoonful of broth. By blending dashi from chicken, pork, shrimp, and shellfish, he created a symphony of flavors that danced upon our palates. The 'Porcini Soy-sauce Ramen' was a revelation, boasting a fragrant paste of porcini mushrooms and black truffles that elevated the dish to sublime heights.
But the culinary adventure did not end there. Oh no, dear reader, for we dared to sample the 'Salted Yuzu Ramen'. This modern twist on tradition infused the soup with a delightful zest, thanks to the addition of ginger and spices. Each bite was a burst of flavor, a testament to the chef's innovative approach to ramen.
And let us not forget the impeccable service that accompanied our dining experience. Despite the bustling crowds, the staff at Iruca Tokyo Roppongi ensured that every patron felt valued and appreciated, adding an extra layer of warmth to our meal.
So, if you find yourself in Tokyo with a craving for extraordinary noodles, do not hesitate to join the queue at Iruca Tokyo Roppongi. Trust me when I say, the wait is but a small price to pay for the unforgettable feast...
Read morenegative star really Had a really bad experience here. Waited 30+ mins in the rain which was ok as i seen others I'm the review waited much longer. Ordered 2 of their most popular ramen. When asked which I would like to be served first i say I'm ok with them serving both together.
Atmosphere was really tense with reminder everywhere to remind you not to socialize and i can feel them keeping a tab on us to ensure we finish as soon as possible. I'm actually stressed while eating. When I'm more than halfway done with the noodles (all ingredients) finished, one of the waiter came to ask me if I will be finishing my current bowl of noodles. I say i don't know. They replied if i cant, then they will not be serving me my second bowl of noodles. I said i can cut down on the noodles for the second bowl but they firmly refused and proceeded to issue me a refund for the second bowl. At this point i have completely lost my appetite. How can I continue eating knowing that I'm being pressurised now?? I felt really judged and monitored! I left after that knowing that they don't really care about their customer or that they can have their way with their bad attitude and people still pay to endure it. I can't comment on the food anymore because nothing can make up for the bad experience and atmosphere. Been to others famous ramen shop with long queue but the atmosphere has always been light and comfortable.
All the negative comment about this shop is real and sadly i have to experience it myself to believe it. Just another overly hype up shop with the owner and staffs thinking that they rule over their customer. This shop don't deserve their customer and it left a bad taste...
