The main thing that initially drew me to this place is that they 1) have omakase sushi and 2) allow children which isn’t such an easy combination to find. It ended up being quite a nice experience, better than expected.

The service at this place was a standout. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful, and patient with the awkwardness of bringing kids to a higher end restaurant.

We came at lunch and there were not a ton of people there. We had to sit at a table instead of the sushi bar because of the kids. The decor and location are quite nice, modern with lots of natural light, trees and a waterfall.

The service and ambiance are great, but the food itself wasn’t so impressive. It’s good sushi, but good sushi is easy to find in Tokyo. There was nothing that stood out. We had been to Toyosu Market the day before and while Sushi Dai and Sushi Daiwa aren’t as nice location-wise the sushi there is better...

I booked online for lunch. Sushi was good but the seat they gave me was partly in the sun (only sun exposed seat in the place) and I was sweating the whole time (summer 35c outside and in that seat maybe 29c) . Hard to enjoy the meal in such a situation. Sushi was good? But hard to tell while not comfortable.. I wanted to order more but it was way too hot I had to get out of there ASAP...I told the supervisor after paying because I'm not looking for any discount - I want staff to understand it's not smart to seat somewhere there at that time esp in summer and at a supposed 5 star place. Hence I can't recommend due to poor planning...

Excellent service and quality at this flagship sushi restaurant at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi Hills! Came with my wife for a anniversary lunch and was very satisfied. We had the special sushi set (11 piece) as well as a junmai sake from Fukushima.

The itamae-san (thank you, Hamada-san!) presented each sushi individually and with great care, explaining the type of fish and any preparations done (soy sauce, salt, lemon, etc) tailored to each piece.

I highly recommend sitting at the counter for the experience. Although the quality and customer service at counter or table...

Expect a lot about the 1st omakase in Tokyo, but a bit dissapointed. The fish quality was normal, omakase chefs were not dedicated for the bar but also sêrved the a la carte guests in hotel. So I don’t feel any special. Chef, therefore has no time to introduce abt the fish and the speciality of it. Menu i chose was 25k per person but finish within more than an hour, normally it should take abt 2 hrs or more. In general it is ok for a sushi resto, but below standard for that level of Japanese omakase . Not recommended.
