SALON BUTCHER & BEER — Restaurant in Tokyo

Our final dinner in Tokyo, before departing for Hong Kong the following day, Saturday, 13 June, was a memorable experience. Due to the frequent showers, we visited the NEWoMen Food Hall, conveniently located atop the JR Shinjuku Station, a short 5-minute walk from our hotel. At Salon Butcher & Beer, we were drawn to their Jamon Serrano and chose to sit at the counter bar. We ordered a selection of dishes from the Tapas menu, including Jamon Serrano, Oven Roasted Mushrooms with Prosciutto, and Japanese-style Fries, followed by Beer-Braised Duck Thigh and Tomato-Braised Lamb Chop Cacciatore Style. Each dish was exceptional. The local beer, sourced from a small brewer, was fresh and flavorful, although I must admit that I am not a beer aficionado. The overall experience was delightful and memorable. Additionally, the meal was relatively affordable, with a total bill of JPY10,450, equivalent to A$110.60 or US$72.24, inclusive of tax. No tips were required...

Absolutely horrible, First the sitting, pretty much a counter in a busy hallway with people brushing you as they pass by, Then the menu, written in pseudo french resembling a basques dialect. Even the staff is not sure what the menu means, And finally the food, after struggling with the incomprehensible menu and settling for the food with a picture that seems satisfactory you realise when your food arrives that it has absolutely nothing in common with the picture. I person and ordered something resselbling a tortilla with fries and a sausage on top and a side salad, and I got a pancake with smoked salmon in fresh cream cheese, with two leaves of green... "Pictures and actual item may vary!" And it wasn't even good...

ディナーで初めて利用しました。ですが、衛生面を初めとする全てが最低なため、二度と利用しません。

まず接客が良くないです。初めてのため、どこから入っていいか分からず戸惑っていた私たちと目が合った女性の接客係がいたのですが、無視。仕方ないので忙しそうにしている人には申し訳ないと思いつつ、オープンキッチンの端にいた女性に声をかけると、私達には無言で接客係を呼びました。流石にこれは酷いのはないでしょうか。 ここの時点で帰ろうかと思いました。

その後料理を注文し、到着。私は大豆ハンバーグと野菜の乗ったプレートを注文しました。確か1780円ほどでしたが、量が少ない。立地を考えたら仕方ないのかもしれませんが、高い…。料理は見た目はよかったのですが、個人的には好みの味付けでは無かったです。添えられたドレッシングが酢ベースのもので、お世辞にも野菜が進む味付けではありませんでした。また、パクチー(？)のような香草も乗っていたのですが、これも好みが別れるため、パクチーの有無やドレッシングの種類が自分で選択出来るといいなと思いました。

1番酷いと思ったのは衛生面です。 始めに、料理提供時に一緒に取り皿を持ってきてくださったのですが、私たちは使用しませんでした。食後になり空いたお皿を下げてもらった際に、男性の方が未使用のお皿と同じ場所に収納していたのには引きました。もしかしたら前の方に出された皿と同じものを使用したのかもしれないと思うと、不快です。私が神経質なだけかもしれませんが、以前勤めていた飲食店ではそのようなことは許されなかったため驚きです。 そして、接客係の女性はスマートフォンを用いてオーダーをとっていたのですが、その後しばらくして素手で食材を触り、副菜か何かの仕込みをしていました。その後、その手は洗うことなくダスターで少し拭かれただけでした。このご時世、素手というだけでも少し不快に思うのに、スマートフォンを触った後の手で食材を触るなど言語道断では無いでしょうか。

雰囲気はいいです。お肉料理も美味しいです。でもこのお値段を払って不衛生な食事をするのであれば、他の店を選ぶべきたったと後悔しています。
