TLDR - for a place that serves soggy undercooked pizza, they sure like make fun of their patrons. Get your house in order.
Full review: Restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. Husband and I stopped in for our first meal in about 10 hours after hiking all over Shibuya, Harijuku, and Shinjuku - it was around 6p and th place wasn’t cr. Ordered two apps (chicken and calamari), two Caesar salads, and two pizzas. Also has the pear lemonade and “American lemonade cocktail” (I think this was just red wine and lemonade but it was tasty). Chicken was interesting not traditional Japanese fried chicken and kinda greasy - also had the consistency of a McDonals chicken nugget. Calamari and Caesar salads were the shining stars. Pizza came out unnervingly fast - they were both very tasty but so soggy and undercooked - really only the crust was edible.
After we put our order in is started to see the employees behind the line pointing in our direction and laughing - ok fine, we ordered a lot of food. We walked 10miles today and were starving.
The order process is interesting - when you come in, you’re seated with a menu. Then you go up to the line to order and then pay in another location - not totally abnormal for a fast casual restaurant but this place feels a little more upscale.
About halfway through our meal, a young American man came in alone with his shopping bags. He was had such a sweet time and appeared to be having a great day. After he reviewed the menu he got up to order and on his way to the counter he asked the hostess if he should put his plates somewhere when he was finished - the whole interaction took place about a foot to my left so I heard everything. Bussing your own table is standard procedure in some restaurants in Japan and I thought it was really considerate of the customer to ask. The hostess was beyond confused by this question and so another employee stepped in. 2nd employee was able to answer the question no problem and was seemingly nice about it but then this dude goes back to the line and proceeds to laugh and point at the young foreigner for about 25+ min. About 4/6 employees who were working out front took place in the whispering, pointing and audible laughter. I have never seen anything like it in the 2+ weeks I have been in Japan (and I have seen some foreigners do some stupid things while I was here). It was ugly and made me very uncomfortable. The man taking orders, the man ringing people up, a young man who appeared to not have a dedicated station with spiky brown hair (this was the second employee above) and a young woman who helped prepare the pizza with short hair who was wearing a mask were the chief offenders. I will never go back. This is the exact type of experience that travelers dread when going to another country. Even if the employees weren’t making fun of people (which I highly doubt) they should be more aware of the optics when pointing at people and laughing. We left immediately - didn’t finish our soggy pizza and found food elsewhere.

Read moreI went there yesterday and unfortunately cant really recommend the restaurant.
First of all for context - Im Swiss and I am used to great italian pizza.
Positives: -Friendly service - the staff is very nice and attentive but maybe a bit too attentive. I dont want my plates to be cleared while Im still chewing my last bite. -good authentic pizza dough.
Negatives: -Its crazy expensive - 4500 yen for a pizza, a drink and a salad. -the 1000 yen greek salad was not worth the money, it had mostly leaves and the tiniest ammounts of small chopped onion, cucumber, olives and almost no feta on it. For a 1000 yen id expect a proper salad with more than just a hint of feta. -the pizza I ordered was with salami, mushrooms and olives. They forgot the olives and there was like 4 pieces of the thinnest slices of salami on there. It was mostly mushrooms.. for almost 3000 yen id expect a lot of toppings! And the pizza didnt taste like anything.. there was so little flavor I had to get salt and chili sauce and still it was one of the least flavourfull pizzas Ive ever had. -Their chilli oil didnt seem to make it spicy at all and it took a lot of salt to make it taste more... if you put 15 slices of that super thin salami on there that might actually help make it tasty but there just seemed to be no salt used at all. -there isnt any chilli oil or salt at the table - you need to go ask for it - and then a guy came in the middle of my meal and took away my salt again.. why? Do you only have one salt dispenser for your whole restaurant? -the pizza was undercooked. Yes the outside was nice and crispy but the bottom was wet and soggy. It should have stayed in the oven longer. Not something that should happen at a pizza place..
Overall not a great experience for a 30$ meal unfortunately.. I wouldnt be complaining if I had this experience at a 15$ place but I wasnt satisfied with the taste and especially not with the tiniest ammount of...
Read moreAs a passionate food enthusiast and pizza aficionado, I embarked on a journey to explore a delightful pizza eatery situated near Shinjuku Station - 800 Degrees. This Neapolitan-style pizzeria captures my heart and taste buds in equal measure. ❤️
The process begins with selecting a pizza base, followed by customizing it to your liking. Admittedly, I chose to skip the customization in favor of a classic Caesar salad, a timeless Margherita pizza 🍕, and a tantalizing ginger lemonade (which, to my surprise, was an alcoholic cocktail). All this indulgence for a mere 3130 JPY, or 850 THB!
Now, let's dive into the pizza's essence. It boasts a delightful freshness, straight from the wood-fired oven. The tomato sauce is divine, with the cheese providing a scrumptious layer of flavor. But alas, the crust falls short due to a lack of fermentation - a minor misstep in an otherwise perfect symphony of flavors. With an impeccable combination of tomato sauce, cheese, and oven, refining the crust would elevate the pizza to new heights.
Nonetheless, at a price of 1280 JPY, or 333 THB per pizza, this gastronomical experience is an absolute steal that you won't find elsewhere in Tokyo! My verdict echoes the words of my childhood hero Richard Barrow, or was it the Terminator? "Two thumbs up! 👍 I'll be back!" A solid 8/10 on the...
