Shibuya Kaomangai Thai Chicken Rice — Restaurant in Tokyo

I feel here like Thailand !!♥️

The style of decoration of the shop, the atmosphere is like in real Thailand. Who misses Khao Man Gai like Thailand, Please come and try this restaurant.

This time is my 2nd time to visit this restaurant. It's about an 8-9 minute walk from Shibuya Station.

Here is very similar the original Chicken rice In Thailand.

They offer free soup, dipping sauce, and coriander. For me who is Thai people I confirmed that it's very delicious chicken rice. The chicken is tender and juicy not hard it is really good, rice cooked very well. Beautifully arranged grains with the use of rice from Thailand So it came out very similar to Thailand. for dipping sauce The shop is well made. adapted to the taste that Japanese people like. Today I asked for more fresh chili. Because I like spicy. For Thai people, according to my opinion, I think add soybean paste, minced ginger and a bit more chili. It will be mellow and taste very much like in Thailand. Anyway Its so delicious and I'm very happy today.

One of the amazing things about Tokyo is their dedication to doing one thing and doing it really well. This restaurant is dedicated to kaomangai—finely sliced chicken breast served over white rice and served with a sauce, coriander, and cucumber. It’s a Thai dish that is simple, delicious, and relatively healthy and it’s the only thing this restaurant serves, unless you count the chicken soup they make from the leftover bones and chicken bits. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

For a little extra, you can add more rice and/or more chicken. I recommend adding more chicken.

Their Khao Man Gai meal is quite good but I have reservations about this place.

On the plus side, the subtle taste of the boiled chicken is accentuated by the accompanying slightly spicy dark sauce.

The downside is that the rice is just plain jasmine rice. That should be replaced with chicken oily rice for a better Thai food experience and for justifying the rather hefty price of ¥850 for a simple meal (¥1250 for double the chicken portion). I think they have the time to prepare chicken oily rice since their menu has two items only.

P.S. if you order extra meat for the Khao Man Gai, ask for an extra serving of the sauce...
