Shichifuku Hachiro Higashi-Shinjuku Main Store — Restaurant in Tokyo

I don't usually write reviews but this izakaya deserves it.

One of the most fun nights I've had going out. Highly recomend this izakaya. The Food is delicious, staff super kind and friendly. The atmosphere is superb. You might have to reserve a table ahead of time.

We were three foreign guys visiting japan around Christmas/new years. Two of us did not speak any Japanese and I spoke some. We were seated at the izakaya's washitsu (和室) style table, which was very cool. :)

The food was unique and delicious. We ate many things that we have never experienced before. Ask staff for recommendations. The staff was super kind, and it defenitely helps if you speak some Japanese.

This place was awesome. Interesting/creative (and delicious) menu, warm yet lively atmosphere/staff. I was initially skeptical about some of the menu items (chicken liver sashimi, are you serious? Had mapo tofu a number of times but never been super excited about it) but my skepticism quickly dissipated as I ate. Yes the mapo was great; they had the Sichuan pepper and a nice blend of spices going on in there and we fought over the last bit, the sashimi worked well somehow. Our vacation was 10 days around Tokyo & hands down this was perhaps one of the best meals that we had throughout the trip.

This lovely restaurant had amazing food, great service and such a cozy yet authentic atmosphere.

To the owner and fantastic staff, we truly appreciated your warmth and efforts to explain the food in English just so we could understand.

We hope that you guys remember us because we will never forget you guys.
