Absolutely wonderful experience at Takumo Tatsuhiro. We booked a reservation for my birthday, and had a wonderful dinner. The service was accommodating for us as foreigners.

Come hungry, as the service will include a significant amount of delicious food. My wife made it about half way through the meal before having to stop as she was full. I made the (funny) mistake of trying to google translate "is it rude to eat her food" -- which i meant the food on her plate that was already served. The server and chef laughed and said "no", and then proceeded to serve me all of her remaining portions of the meal! I ate as much as I could, but couldn't fit any more food in by the time dessert was served.

It was a wonderful experience, but I would suggest foreigners come and plan to be respectful. The location seems to serve a number of local customers, and may be a destination for business customers taking out clients or bosses as a treat. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Each piece was a work of art and a joy to eat. I really appreciate the chefs making an effort to explain what kind of fish is serving.They also made sure that everyone was comfortable and enjoying their meal.

I was disappointed to hear that some people have criticized the restaurant's service, as I found it to be excellent. Perhaps they were having an off day, or there was some miscommunication. Regardless, I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try

I went there for the ¥2,800 Nigiri lunch and it was absolutely amazing! Quality food, great ambience and impeccable service. Sushi chef was so down to earth and was very friendly. I will definitely go back for Chirashi lunch (also ¥2,800) and dinner (¥16,000-)!! Definitely a hidden treasure!
