Sampled this restaurant on a whim since it was close to our hotel. It has a nice, cozy atmosphere with very friendly staff and good taste in music! Visiting from the U.S., it's easy to be skeptical/hesitant about trying out restaurants that serve food you can find just about everywhere at home, but the Japanese take on Italian pizza and pasta dishes is unique and worth exploring.
We ordered a carbonara, the "Bismarck" Pizza and a dessert pizza featuring red bean and mochi - all of it was great! Only one minor critique of the Bismarck specifically - garlic oil was provided at our table on the side, but I would love to see some garlic (or salt) incorporated in the crust for the extra pop of flavor. Without it it felt like something was missing from the taste. Still better than plenty of other pizzas I've had in the states, and the first to have egg on it!
The staff was also kind enough to provide an edamame appetizer while we waited for our food and pasta made with squid and squid ink on the house, just as something to try at the end of the meal. It tasted great and I can definitely recommend it! The squid was cooked perfectly and had a pleasant...
Read moreSome of the best pasta I’ve had ever! If I wasn’t trying to explore different things all over Japan, I would have gone here multiple times.
Got seated immediately and ordered a seafood pasta dish and my kid got the carbonara. We also ordered a pizza because why not?
The staff was super nice and attentive. They noticed I kept grabbing paper towels near the restroom sink and brought me a whole pack! Haha. At the end, the server even gave me and the kid a couple of bottles of Ramune to go as a gift, along with some stickers (I put them on my luggage).
The vibe inside was very laid back and casual. Locals eating there weren’t rushing to eat and leave. Most guests were just sitting around and conversing, so we didn’t feel rushed to leave as soon as we finished our meal.
I’m definitely making my way back here to try out more of their pasta...

I'm glad we decided to check this place out as I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta. This restaurant offers a large variety of pasta options and not just your typical Italian options which makes it that more appealing. I ordered the carbonara which was a solid version. And I had a couple of bites of my mother in law's Asian pasta dish which had seaweed, yuzu pepper, lemon, mushrooms, fresh cream and milk. The seaweed definitely was at the forefront with a suttle hint of pepper and lemon.
We also ordered the margherita pizza with mushrooms. While the pastas were excellent, the pizza didn't live up to expectations. The tomato sauce was a bit sweet and the crust was average. That being said, it was a...
