Zenriren Yoyogi-No-Yado — Hotel in Tokyo

The hotel is within a short walking distance from Yoyogi Station, literally just across the road, very convenient.Reception staff is very nice.Luggage storage before check in is allowed which allows us to start exploring the City straight away without having to worry about our luggages.We had a very enjoyable time doing our own “hanami” at Yoyogi Park which is just one station away (takes JR local train to Harajuku Station - entrance to Yoyogi Park is just opposite!)We then went shopping at Shibuya, saw the amazing crowd at the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, had dinner, took JR train again and travelled 2 stations, before arriving at Zenriren, checked in at 8:30pm, no hassle at all, and the staff had already put our luggage’s in our room!The room is very clean. The bathroom looked a bit aged but still clean. The place was nice and quiet.Next breakfast was offered but only served after 7:30am. We had to leave for Kawaguchiko and did not stay for the breakfast but we saw the morning staff was already busy preparing trolleys carrying the breakfast for all rooms - simple but nice-looking tea/coffee, seasonal fruits, (?)yoghurt, croissant.Checking out is easy and hassle-free as well.Only thing to note is that the accommodation is within a commercial building on the 7th floor. So when one arrives, one needs to take the lift to 7th floor where the reception and rooms are. (We weren’t aware and waited downstairs for about 10 minutes before we read a notice that we had to go to the 7th floor).All in all, very convenient place with very easy access to public transport,...

⚠️the WORST experience ever‼️😡

had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. The elderly man at the front desk was both rude and unhelpful during check-in, failing to mention the curfew rules which left us stranded outside after midnight, holy😅Despite the front desk supposedly being available 24/7, we couldn't reach anyone when we needed assistance. Upon attempting to address the situation the next morning, the same man at front desk feigned ignorance, despite our efforts to communicate in Japanese.(the old man pretended not understanding what we said even we’ve been in Japan for 5 years and we speak Japanese not well as native speaker but at least can be easily understood with no doubt😅) It was definitely by far the WORST experience I've ever had at a hotel!! This hotel is rather hard to find. The building has no sign and it’s located in 7th floor. Just across the station and right next to mc donald.||When check in, the receptionist will ask you about your choise of breakfast. We chose western (bread, salad, egg) and what time you want your breakfast delivered to your room.||Only several room avaiable, so if you want to stay near the strategic area, it’s a good choice.||The room is local style, sleeping with ‘futon’ above the ‘tatami’. The facilities quite complete, hairdryer, towel, tv, ac, yukata, kettle and basic bath equiptment.||There’s no drinkable water avaiable, but you can buy them in 7 eleven near the hotel. There’re a lot of restaurant around if you are hungry.||Suprisingly, the breakfast is quite good. Smooth bread, fresh salad with delicoius dressing and jelly...
