The restaurant can be found in the JR Ueno station third floor. We were just looking for a good place to eat omurice and found this restaurant online. We used our pasmo to enter the station to get to the restaurant and exited the station after. We had 140 yen deducted from our PASMO card per person which, I believe is the minimum fare for a train ride. the omurice lunch set was less than 1000 yen per person and ordered that. It comes with a soup and salad; the main being the omurice. The egg was soft and fluffy and the rice mixture was flavorful and creamy. The tomato ketchup/sauce provided a nice balance to the creaminess...
Read moreI had dinner here after a long day exploring Ueno, with the omurice in particular catching my eye, as I'd seen the dish many times before but had never tried it myself. The service was very attentive, with my order arriving promptly. The meal itself was excellent, looking as delicious as it tasted. I do offer one tip to those (like myself at the time) who may be unfamiliar: The receipt for your table is left in a holder when you initially are seated, and you bring it to the register after you're...

It is a Western-style Restaurant at Ecute Ueno Station where you can enjoy the taste of "Taimei-ken", a long-established restaurant with its head office in Nihonbashi. Since it is located on the station's premises, the restaurant is about a medium-sized restaurant in terms of size and seating capacity. As a result, it is always crowded at lunchtime. Although it is a long-established restaurant, the décor and the presentation of the food are not too formal, and anyone can enjoy a meal here in a casual manner. Although omelets, hamburgers, curry sauce, and salads are on single plate, none of which are too assertive or interfere with each other. Basically, many of the menu seem to have adopted the flavoring of the late Showa period. That may be a pros and cons. But it may want to argue that the old is just as valuable as the new, rather than implicitly taking in the new. Prices are relatively high, so it's difficult to use them often. It's a good to use it for special occasions or on your way home...
