Aside from needing to pay the small entrance fee to enter the JR Station that this shop is in, I felt it was worth it. This store satisfied my love for all things SUICA Penguin & I was able to buy several goods (would have bought more but didn't have much luggage room 😅). Attached to the shop is the cafe where you can order Suica Penguin-themed drinks and little bites to eat. It is also a short distance away from the exit that leads to Ueno Zoo :) I hope that I can return again one day~

Details of the penguins are all over the cafe area, which is thoughtful and adorable! Price is a little high, but I love penguins so this was a great shop for me.

2023年10月12日にオープンしたSuicaペンギンをテーマにしたカフェ&グッズ販売の施設です。 もともとは東京駅にありましたが2018年の9月に営業終了。 約5年ぶりに場所を上野に移して再スタートしました。 お店は上野駅の3Fの改札内にあります。利用するには改札を通る必要があるので注意して下さい。 カフェエリアは6時30分〜（モーニングは10時まで）、グッズエリアは9時〜の営業です。

いただいたのはモーニングのハム&たまごのパニーニセット。飲み物はブレンドコーヒーです。

ハムとたまごフィリングをもちもちで歯切れの良い白パンでサンドしたものです。 ホットサンドですがそこまで熱くなく、ほんのり温かいといった感じ。 メニューの写真と比べると焼き色はかなり薄めですね。 塩味や酸味の尖った味はなく、まろやかで優しい味わい。 朝に食べるのにはこれくらいが丁度良いなと思いました。

休日の開店直後に訪問しましたが先客はなし。 後客は割と多く、テイクアウト利用の人も目立ちました。 先に注文と会計を済ませ、出来上がった料理などは呼ばれたら自分で取りに行くシステムです。 支払いにはSuicaやPayPayなどの各種キャッシュレスが利用できます。

店内は明るく清潔感があり、居心地の良い雰囲気。 座席数はそこそこありますが、ピーク時はかなり混みそうですね。

機会があればまた利用したいと思いま...
