I just read another review from a year ago that perfectly sums up my experience here. Keep in my this was my 2nd day in an unfamiliar country, and I was by myself at this point; I felt unwelcome at this establishment. If you’re a foreigner and order food here and don’t know if they are calling your order, don’t expect them to go out of their way to tell you. They’ll either stare at you and make you feel incredibly uncomfortable, or laugh after you grab your food. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Japan, but unfortunately I remember experiences like this one. It almost made me worried to order food afterwards, but fortunately all the other great establishments don’t do the things these staff did.

Had the hot matcha dessert which came with 3 very huge mochi balls, adzuki beans specked with gold, and slices of what seemed like salted pickles which was an odd combination. The matcha was very smooth but a little too sweet for my liking and I could only manage 2 of those balls.
Very friendly staff as with most Japanese eating establishments. Order at the counter, take a seat and wait for your order number to be called to collect your food. Note that they will call out your order number in Japanese so you’ve got to be alert and constantly look out for your order if you don’t understand...

I saw some reviews about rude staff to foreigners but I don't see this as an issue. The staff dont seem to speak English so they will default to Japanese. This is standard all around tokyo and you should keep in mind, your in their country and maybe they don't want you here so I don't get bothered by it.
