Tantanmen Piriri — Restaurant in Tokyo

Wow 🤩 surprisingly very good tantanmen.

I got the spicy no-broth and white sesame tantanmen (辛めの汁なし白胡麻坦々麺). Though it’s no-broth, there is a little bit of white sesame sauce. The balance of sauce to noodle and ingredients is really nice. The meat is very tasty and the fresh greens brings everything together quite nicely.

The spice level was quite spicy but not too spicy I would say. It’s a lot of Sichuan (山椒) spice compared to normal chili spice. It’s good though.

Next time I will go with a regular level of spice (普通).

Nice spicy noodle place. The noodle dish is served without soup, but with sticky and very spicy sesame sauce, with ground meat and leaves. This sauce has strong sesame flavor with spices of chili pepper and sansho, and this is great.
